Genoa are getting Suazo, and Floccari is about to end his brief affair with Genoa (barely got a chance) by being loaned out to Lazio with an 9m option to buy.

He was decent, 4-5 goals, some assists, some starts, mainly off the bench. I guess Gasperini didnt like him or thought he was good enough, half a season is enough time to judge, but he was a benchplayer off the bat 1 month in, so seems like he was deemed unworthy rather quickly.

UFFICIALE: Toni in prestito alla Roma
It's a loan till the end of the season, right? Logically it should be till the end of the season.

Many might laugh at Roma for this move, but I think it's a good one and they don't lose anything at all, while they can get something, or even get a lot.
Toni is after all someone who knows calcio well, scored a lot before he left and a target man is exactly what the Romans have been missing. With players like Totti, Vucinic, Menez etc, Roma never had a problem putting the ball in the box, but they had a problem with presence in the box and putting those balls into the net.

It might be an exaggeration, but I see Roma as strong favorites for the 2nd place. Afterall, they are only 3 points behind it now (although Milan has a match less, away to Fiorentina), they started playing better and better, and with a little luck (Totti staying fit) they will make it to 2nd.

Bad news for us though.

And it's bad for us. Milan are doing surprisingly well and we know that Beckham tends to give them something extra. They're an old team, but as horrible as it is to say: they're better than us. Roma are coming back strongly and you never quite know what you get with them so we might very well end up fourth. If we make fourth that is.
Yeah Alen, till the end of the season. For the rest

I know it looks like a stupid move, but Roma will come close to the scudetto this year.
2nd place is my guess, but I doubt they'll come close to the scudetto. The difference between them and Inter, at half season almost, is 11 pts and neither Roma have the capacity to win 90% of the matches nor will Inter lose +15/20 points till the end of the season.
Also, Claudio Ranieri showed that he tends to make kinda strange decisions and not prepare his team well when he's close to the 1st spot.

And last but not least, Roma got a pretty easy schedule in Europa League so they might stay there till April or more, which might distract them a little.

Can't see them getting close (to at least -5 pts) to Inter, but I can surely see them ending the season ahead of Milan, Juve, Fiorentina and the rest.

Ranieri has started doing better. In fact, he's the only coach that benched Taddei actually. Menez gets to play more often too. But I think they conceded at least one goal every match (eh not literally). Still, they aren't that bad at all.

Could be an excellent move for Roma. I don't think Toni would have been the right guy for any of the other big teams but, at first glance, he looks like exactly the kind of player Roma needs.

Roma will not finish in top 4!
That would be very suprising to me. Considering Ranieri's track record, they look bound to make it to at least 4th spot.
