Or better yet, Swag. Then Eto simply owns Legro in the middle and scores.

:blah: "Oh sh-t, if Chiellini had been there, it would not have happened, stupid Ciro, putting a natural CD like Chiellini to wing, when we have 2 LBs in the club":blah:

And our DM-s only cover center of the pitch?
In a way, I think so. They're not fast enough to cover trickier wingers and seem better suited for the center of the pitch. Momo could make a good shot at it. But Poulsen is a disaster where speed is needed, Melo hasn't proven to me that he can play the flanks at all very well, and Marchisio is another decent DM-capable player who hasn't done as much at blocking crosses and taking out players on the touch line.

I will say that Legro is a better defender than Grosso, that's for sure.

So having Chiellini at CB is more important than beating Inter or advancing deep in he CL?

All due respect, but that's not just nuts -- that's Ranieri nuts.
But if you put Chiellini on Maicon, and cover one hole, you still have Legro on Eto'o or Milito, and you create another hole, just as big.
Also, you still have that problem on your RB position.

I'm with DPFL on this.

But you applied to my q to Swag Chiellini idea.
oh I didn't read from the start, what I meant is if Del Piero comes back, I would play him behind a striker in that 3 man attacking midfield.

Chiellini is a different case, I always admired him as an LB and I still would love to see, but the problem is we don't have the suitable replacement for CD, If Legrotaglie was on top form, I would have played him on the left, our defense would be much much stronger that way.

But I am satisfied with Grosso, eventhou he makes defensive mistakes, we will be stronger if Sissoko is back.

we cant really afford to move chiellini, i dont think anyway.

canna and chiello have a good understanding, as for legro he is so so.
would be risky, id try ariaudo, didnt he play LB for us last season?

and we didnt really get owned last year against chelsea, or even this year and we had to deal with ribery and robben for a while.

You made it look as if we play Chiellini as LB we will trash Inter and play the CL final.
I will put this in an alternate way: this team ain't going anywhere until we find a way to patch our defensive holes at fullback.

Chiellini at LB isn't an ideal solution by any means. But it's one of our better options. Toss out yours. Because the lack of any options is basically accepting failure.

I know I'm biased but I won't change the position of the best CB in the world for anything.

And of course, Chiellini is an average LB, the only thing good about it that he is so good defensively.
He was an ok LB and was young when he played there, 3 years passed over that time, and I am sure he is the better player and will be even better the next years.

Breaking up the Chiello-Canna would only make things worse

Having a greygera legro canna cheillini line looks more defensively stable than a gregera canna cheillini grosso, and we would cause gigi less trouble. Replacing grosso we are not going to lose anything offensively, but instead we are gaining defensively and it would be hard to attack from the right side. The way we are getting exposed defesnively is just rediculous.

Buy a fullback in the winter mercato?

I don't agree, I think we'll be more stable defensively. Our back line is getting torn from small teams because the backs have idea how to defend and stay in position, which usually expose our cb. So A greygera legro canna chiellini would be a better solution to patch our defensive problems

Legro and Canna is not a good partnership, maybe next season if we have Kjaer or Ranocchia to partner Canna. I agree that Chiello would be great defensively on the left but the risk to our central defense is just to great
