When a center back push forward do you honestly think no one will cover he's place in the back ?! So whats the job of DM's ?
I know it's the DM job to cover, but our two backs ( grosso and caceres) love to push forward, which leaves Canna and one DM which usually it's poulsen covering back. We have gianed alot of trouble lately pushing alot of people forward even when we are up. Ciro need to understand that you can't afford to send d players up frequently like that and expose the back line.

I'm sure he was instructed by Ciro to do that, and I perfectly agree with him. Although a bit clumsy, he is always dangerous when going forward.
I do believe too that it's ciro's instruction, but we've got to do a better job of covering the open space.

Chiellini is the best CB in the world moving him back to LB is pure madness.

If I was a mod I would ban you and anyone who suggest this crap again in a heart beat.
Relax, it's not like I sinned. It's my opinion and I'm entitled to whatever I believe in. He is a better left back than cb. We all know why he was moved to cb, because we were short in that position and we had to use somebody to cover that position, luckily he excelled. otherwise he is a world class left back and can crosss better than all of our backs

Giorgio orignally was a left back, and he is so good at going forward. So playing him in his old position is not going to be an experiment thing. I think he is our best left back
I know he was but to bring him out of the center is madness, his partnership with Canna holds our defense together

That's just plain wrong man.

People just tend to forget very easily that the guy played excellent just 3 years ago at the left back position and is a world class doing so. So if we can't get a super LB in the next mercato, what's the problem if we instead buy a super CB, and switched giorgio to LB.

P.S Giorgio is NOT a an average LB

I didn't see these updates to this thread before I wrote my match review in the match thread.

Our fullback situation is a mess on defense. I do think before the end of the season it would be worth experimenting with Chiellini at LB, Legro at CB, and Grosso moved up to a winger position (i.e., keep De Ceglie off the field at this rate, please).

Don't you think that Buffon is a better striker than a goalie?

Even if you think so it won't make you sound crazier than you are already.

Chiellini is a good LB. I think many of you have forgotten. He can cross better than many of our players. It is far from crazy -- or suggesting Buffon in attack.

It's not like the likes of Maldini, etc., never alternated between fullback and center and did so well.
