Liverpool fans will receive a very special welcome in Florence for the Champions League on Tuesday after their supporters were twinned.
There was always a good rapport between the clubs, but as of today their supporters' groups have officially been twinned.
The Collettivo Autonomo Viola made the offer of twinning and the Merseyside Branch of the Liverpool Supporters Club accepted.
The Stadio Artemio Franchi area will host a special 'fan zone' ahead of Tuesday's match, which is set to include a performance from the world famous flag throwers.
"The Viola are very keen to chat to Liverpool fans so don't be shy and come along and say hello," said Dave Murphy of the LFC OSC Merseyside Branch on the official Liverpool website.
"It all came about when the group of Fiorentina fans known as the Collettivo Autonomo Viola e-mailed our branch asking us to twin with them.
"They said, 'Florence has always had a strong admiration for your team and your fans, this is our opportunity to create a beginning of a friendship that will last and grow stronger over time.
"It promises to be a great occasion, so if you are travelling to the game be sure to come along and meet some of our new friends."

I can't stand Viola rats and their fans because of their fans' attitude towards us, they are all fags. But hating Liverpool? for what? For some accident happened 24 years ago? what have today's fans to do with that? and how could you blame Liverpool fans, wasn't that both parties' idiocy? I don't hate Liverpool nor their fans. I never heard (maybe I myself didn't) any hate coming from their side, while it was always Juve fans who hated Liverpool or their fans or English/British people. I am not going to follow this stupidity and hate them for non-sense reasons..

and Tiago on his real form has similar quality with Motta , and i can safely say that our attacking department is better than Merda's , not mention to we also have more choices and combination on midfield department with a dratistically improvement from previous season , no reason to give them an overrated credit imo ,no offence bro , just presenting my own opinion and we will win this season title , mark my words :scarf:
