I wonder what the relevance of that contract is, now that Delle Alpi is being torn down. You can't rent something that's been demolished.
Exactly my point. The land where Delle Alpi was & where the new stadium will be was never ours to begin with (and I'm pretty sure it still isn't), so there must be some kind of deal with the city of Turin.
So far, I have never seen any info about this.

According to wikipedia, Juve bought the Delle Alpi site from Turin City Council for 25m in the summer of 2003.

that would make more sense on the price they supposedly payed. they must have secured exclusive rights to the site and possibly the surrounding areas that were unoccupied at the time.

You are correct. That fee of 25M gives us the rights for 100 years I think.

Wikipedia can be so deceiving :).

Oh, now I know what Beckham was doing in Milan. He was sent on a mission from Real Madrid and Galliani/Berlusconi to convince Kaka to go to Real Madrid.

beckham went to milan because it is the final stop for washed up players in professional football. i don't think he opted for the "euthanize after season" option in his contract. maldini on the other hand scared kaka into leaving because he told him that he is older than jesus.

poor ricky, imagine living/working with a bunch of grandfathers for the past 5 years

I don't count Milan as a threat, even with Kaka. I was pretty sure that we would finish top 2 reagrdless. The difference between 1st and 2nd for me could only be Zlatan.
Ya, i mean it's not like you ended the season on equal points with Milan:shifty:

Lol yeah, but I don't really believe in that "DNA" talk. Any team with a crappy history can win at any given time. Certain factors in the club attribute for choking, imo. Poor leadership in the management or dressing room, psychlogical weakness in the team, etc.

I'm with you on that. Never bought that shit :agree:

Looked it up on the website.

Juve have what is called a "diritto di superficie", which I think means they have the right to use the ground, this does not mean they own it.

Nice find. I guess the Italian concept of "diritto di superficie" is closely linked to the French Droit de Superficie.

You are almost correct in your assumption. To be a tad more precise, it gives you property of the building (or plants), but not on the ground.

It's useful in a case such as ours: we bought property of the stadium without having to buy the land. Unless we discover oil beneath the stadium, we'll never give a shit about owning the land.
