'Neglected' Maicon calls Chelsea

Tuesday 9 June, 2009

Douglas Maicon’s agent has warned Inter of another transfer saga. “He hasn’t received the attention he deserves and we have several options.”
The right-back was a sensation for the Nerazzurri and a key figure in their ascent to the Scudetto this season, but has attracted interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.

“Maicon has many years left on his contract with Inter. However, I believe he hasn’t received the attention he deserves,” Antonio Caliendo told calciomercato.it.

“Chelsea and Real? We have several options open to us, but first we want to see what happens with Inter. Evidently the directors are currently busy with other issues…”

The reference was to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is putting out feelers for a £70m move to Barcelona.

“When he returns from international duty with Brazil, we will examine where we are.”

Caliendo also commented on the recent world transfer record shattering £60m deal that took Milan star Kaka to Real Madrid.

“In today’s football there is no such thing as an indispensable player. Everyone is bought and sold at the right price. If it is convenient and helps balance the books, everything is for sale.”

Who would you rather have in your team, Kaka+Gourcuff or Dzeko+Hernanes+good defender?

Here is a bet: Juve will have at least 6 pts more than Milan next year in serie A. Who wants to bet against this?
just bet if we win that damn title already or not, dont give a damn about 6p ahead or not with milan
We will win the tittle next season , mark my word .

Maicon: I am leaving Inter
Wednesday 10 June, 2009
"Inter defender Maicon insists he is leaving the club because its directors are too busy dealing with the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and not his own.

The 27-year-old Brazil international had an excellent season and established himself as one of the best full-backs in the world.

“I am not a phenomenon, but I am not any old player either,” Maicon told La Gazzetta dello Sport in a candid interview.

“For three years Inter have treated me with indifference, perhaps, because they are all worried about satisfying Ibrahimovic.

“New contracts. Special prizes. I am not jealous of Ibra. He is a phenomenon. This is not the problem. I am tired of being mistreated.
”"

After they loose Maicon they'll realise how important he is for them :D
