If we can afford to have Iaquinta, Trezeguet and Giovinco on the bench I'm sure Milan won't suffer with Ronaldinho sitting there too.
I don't see Milan spending money on Rossi AND another striker.
They can't even buy one attacker.
Rossi, Pato and a target man might be a very good combination, but it can only happen from next season on. This year it's impossible.

I said the same thing to a friend yesterday. I never believed this day will come when i will pitty Milan. :D
I don't think they're that bad. They will still be a power in the league, especially with a new coach. Pato had more than one season and he oozes talent. Nesta is back and so is Rino. Ronaldinho never worked well with Kaka and now he's alone. Seedorf will play further up top than last season.

Trust me, there is nothing to pity them for except that they are not able to attract players.

They could have done so much with the Kaka money though. Just getting Fabiano and a midfielder like Sneijder or Hernanes will suddenly make them look very strong again.

Typical stupid peasant! You must never pity the enemy. Always hate and be on your guard, because the moment you relax, is the moment the snake strikes.

Always hate your enemies. Hate their pets and plants too.

Milan sold Kaka which will help the cash issue but I doubt they can invest all of that on the field. They simply have too much debt to pay down.

I like when my team invests in itself but I don't want them to build an awesome squad that turns to shit when the debt well runs dry like Milan.

i think in the current situation we are on level with with inter just lacking a bit of their depth.

milan on the other side are weaker then last season and while the first team might be ok, they will heavily suffer when the injuries take their toll on their season.

i think now that etoo plays for inter the goals scored are just scored in other situations.

while ibrahimovic did invent many of his goals by himself, etoo will most of the time not do that.
that does not mean that he will score less, because the times when ibra did fail scoring the easy ones will be the situations where etoo will just bag the goal.

so i say they will pretty much score the same amount of goals, but the difference will be against the bigger clubs.

in fact in italy there is only us who can give them a good fight and i think if we stay compact, it is much harder for inter to score with etoo against us.

ibrahimovic had that nearly perfect technique which let him do the unexpected things to outsmart the defense and score, but etoo is much more relient on his athletics and his speed which will bring him nothing if we defend deep and close down all spaces.

it is easier to battle against physicality of etoo than try to battle against great technique that will leave you stranded if you attack the player too hefty.

it's a two horse race if we don't suffer from injuries, i say.

Inter need a trequartista, then they will once again be a very, very good team...Hleb IMO isn't good enough, and after barely playing regularly for Barca, if Mourinho is expecting him to do the job vs. Italian defences, then I think he's making a big mistake...but if Gigi can get those 12-15 points he gets us in most seasons, and we stay injury-free, we can definitely go all the way :xfinger:

And the transfer season isn't over yet, they can still buy players for more then 1 month.
But at the moment, I think we are stronger then Milan and closer, if not on par with Inter so things look better then at the start of the previous season IMO.

I'd say all seasons except 2003-04 and the last one. But there were legitimate excuses (IMO) for that.

I was thinking if Zlatan Ibrahimovic was Inter's best transfer, at least in the last 20 years.
Sure, it's not the same case with Zidane and Kaka who were bought for less than 10m and then, after being the best players of Juve/Milan and after bringing trophies to their teams, they were sold for ~70m. The numbers aren't as high in Zlatan's situation, but still, the profit Inter made is remarkable.

They bought Zlatan from us [ :wallbang: ] for ~25m eur (24.8).
After 3 scudetto winning seasons where he was their best player, after being their topscorer in all 3 seasons (66 goals total) and top assistman in 2 of the 3 seasons, they sell him for 46m eur+Eto'o+Hleb on loan.
Inter made ~21m eur cash profit and on top of it they got a great player like Eto'o and they also got Hleb on loan.

Watching this today, one can safely conclude that Zlatan was pure gold for Inter, no matter how you look at it.

But the future will give the final answer if Zlatan's transfer out of Inter was indeed a great piece of business.
Creating a winning team is very hard. Inter know this very well after 19 years of misery. When they finally created the winning team (one mustn't forget Calciopoli though as a factor in this), Zlatan was its main component.
When we sold Zidane and when Milan sold Kaka, Juve and Milan were coming after 2-3 trophyless seasons. Something simply had to be changed.
In Inter it's different. They already had the winning team and now it's one big question mark if they'll remain winners after selling their best player.

Well, they changed their manager after delivering two Scudetti in a row and turned out successful. Sometimes you have to change a winning formula to keep on winning.

I think Milan should have let Ancelotti go long before, when they were on top. Sometimes the winning elements stop delivering.
