Does 12 goals for forward merit a 30 million price tag ? Does this put him on the same ranks as eto'o and torres ? No thus he aint world class. Rooney played 4 one of the best teams in the past 5 years if not the best. Has the likes or RONALDO helping out. Zarate plays for poor or lazio and scores 13 goals.

Im not saying zarate is better or that rooney is crap. Im just responding to the claims that ppl put him in the top 5 forwards in the world. No way jose, in my opinion he's in the same standards as zarate

YES Im aware that he's a good tackler etc but this is not his job. Otherwise we might aswell add gerrad to the top 5 list. You pay a forward 30 million pounds to put score. Now Ronaldo has gone united will struggle, because they dont have a consistent goal scorer.

Teams have found him out and most EPL teams play very defensively, so they don't give Rooney much space anymore, which is probably why he doesn't score those scorchers as often as he did in previous seasons. But he has scored too many of them for Zarate to be considered better than him in that aspect.

No, actually no its not. I don't know how you can say that. He has scored some peaches using his accuracy too. Check out his goals against Boro and Pompey where he lobs the keeper, now thats accuracy for you. If Totti did that, people here would be raving about what a magician he is.
