    Eto'o > Ibrahimovic, anytime, anyday.

Eto'o is simply one of the best attackers I've seen. I don't know how stupid Barcelona mang can be to get rid of someone who scores goals for fun. Fantastic finisher, pure speedy legs, incredible stamina, nice work and combination with his mates.

When the team is going good and working well on a rhythm, it's only stupid to sell one of your key players.

I'm not sure how much he was mistreated. If Barca wants to find someone better, which Zlatan is, then they have a right to look around.
The way they've always tried to sell him. I don't blame him if he wants to leave them at all. He's a top player, and many other clubs would kill to have him on their team.

I was thinking about how can Serie A get back on top again (Galliani inspired me :D ) and the solution is very easy in theory.

Galliani said (comparing serie A with La Liga) : "This is a matter of different types of taxation. If we were a Spanish club, we would've saved 40m EUR."

    He is right.
In Italy the net wages the players are getting are only 50% of the total amount the club is paying. In Spain the net wages present 75% of the total amount.
If Zlatan earns 12m eur net wages it means that Inter have to pay 24m for his wages. Barca would have to pay 16m eur in order Zlatan to earn 12m eur. Huge difference.
As for what Galliani said.... Milan are paying 60m eur for the net wages of their players. When you add the taxes it turns out that Milan pay 120m eur a year on wages. In Spain, if the team pays 60m eur for the net wages, they'll have to pay 80m eur total. That's a 40m eur difference, while the players are getting the same wages.
40m eur difference only in one year!!
So, if the Italians pay the same taxes as the Spanish, Inter, Juve and Milan will "earn" around 40m eur a year, money that will be used for transfers (+ the money that are already there in the transfer budget).

The second condition is owning the stadiums. Juve are doing it and it will earn us a loooot of money. If the other big teams do the same and if the taxation in Italy is changed, then i believe that every big team in Italy will make between 60-80 million euro profit more per year than they are making now.

Galliani's been saying this all the time but it rarely provokes discussions and i'm yet to hear that someone is doing something about this.
Another thing is that Real don't have any money. Which is kind of funny considering what they've just spent. In fact, I can't even remember the last time Real had money.

The tax thing is controversial, but from a legal standpoint you'd actually want Spain and Italy to have the same system. The EU says it promotes a fair competitive market, but if you're not going to harmonise stuff like this, it's bollocks.

try and put your own bias to the side there Rab abd think seriously, i absolutely despise Iba but there is no denying his brilliance, though he does have a bad habit of not living up to his hype in the big games. Eto'o on the other hand is a terrific player but his wastefulness in front of goal has always been his let-down

Eto'o scored 30 goals this season. And he scored in the CL final. Which he has done before. I want a player who decides the final, not a player who shines in the first round. Zlatan decided one do or die game in his entire career: last year against Parma.

Ibra brings far more to a team than Eto'o does though, he can lead the line alone and his creativity enhances the team. when Eto'o does not score he offers very little, Ato'o may be the better goal-getter but Ibra is a far more complete player

i disagree, someone to link up with Messi,Henry,Iniesta would enhance Barcas play tremendously
Add to that, Barca don't need another player that wants the ball at his feet. They have enough artists in Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. What they need is a striker that complements them and is willing to make runs behind defenses. Not another player that wants part in the build up play.

plus it would help our title charge massively next year if Ibra goes
I want Ibra to go there. Barça might have reached perfection this season and their fans (provided they are actually from Barcelona) are not all that disgusting, but another seasons of triumph would be a bit too much. Let Zlatan go there and fuck two teams over in the process.

have to agree to disagree Fred, i believe that BArca need an intelligent link-up man who can think on the same level as their fantastic forwards players. Ibra is certainly clever enough to work well with these guys and he also jas an eye for the spectacular,i think he would slot in well

Barcelona need a killer, Boz. They don't need some fancy moron who thinks the universe is growing out of his ass.

You watched their game against Chelsea in the CL i assume?

Did you not think they were a bit lacking in terms of, off the ball movement in the final third. Sometimes Eto'o himself can't be bothered actually to make runs behind the defense, and play without the ball. And you can see how it makes Barca's play one dimensional. Someone like Ibra who always wants the ball at his feet, will make their movement in the final third stagnant imo.

    no team needs that

    but wait...........

they already have that in Eto'o
Yes, but that was the argument from the beggining. Who would be more beneficial for Barca, Etoo or Ibra.
