No.. i am a Juventus fan.. i do honestly think we are becoming Lazio and Roma..

Seria A also slowly sliding towards Bundesliga dan SPL.
serie A is dying

ibrahimovic and kaka leaving would be the finally nail on the coffin. In 5 years time there will be only EPL left and real and barca to compete. La liga is hardly any better, but they will always have barca and real, so they wont sink down to our level.
Meh.

Blow or not, it would be good news. He's one of their only players who perform consistently and where the hell would they find an adequate replacement?

They'll blow the cash on eight 35 year olds anyway.
Not anymore I'm afraid. With Leonardo in-charge, the system the tactics, everything will change I think.

Leonardo probably sees selling Kaka is wise (If in return they're getting someone like Ribery) who can play in more than two positions.

Kaka is no doubt their best player since he got to Milan, but with Kaka's presence they're obliged to build a team around him. They can't change their system nor their tactics. And it was proven when he got injured.

Kaka to Madrid will be useful to Milan, that's what I think. I could be wrong but they'll look better and stronger than this year. Which means fighting till the end for the Scud.

In football its cyclical, so now we are on a drop and EPL is on the rise. Give it some time, it will change.

You mean something like Zidane's Juve in 1999-2001? Once we ended in Intertoto and once we were 2nd in serie A and eliminated in the CL groups.
Everything went through Zidane, we depended on him more than we should.
I agree that it could be the same for Milan.

We sold Zidane, van der Sar and Inzaghi, we bought Buffon, Nedved, Thuram and Salas and it worked.

But we still had Del Piero, Trezeguet, Davids, Zambrotta, Ferrara, Montero etc. Milan can't buy 3 world class players with the money they'll get from Kaka, and 80% of their starters are too old already to be part of a new generation that will rule Italy and Europe (we had only Ferrara and Montero in their 30's back then. Milan have Abbiati, Jankulovski, Shevchenko, Zambrotta, Nesta, Kaladze, Favalli, Ambrosini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Inzaghi, Seedorf).

Selling Kaka and buying 2, or maybe even 3 new players with the money won't solve their problems.

    But they'll still improve no?

You say even if they buy 3 world class players they will still have 80% of their startes old. So with Kaka staying or remaining 90% of Milan squad = old starters, no? and they managed to finish 3rd on the same points like us(Juventus).

This means if Kaka leaves (and of course it will depends on what players they get) but if they get good decent replacements, then they're easily stronger than this finished season.

If that rich Arab is taking over, then they will.

I somewhat agree with Rab here.
Its not like Kakà is the only good player in the world. Yes milan have a lot of old players but they are changing now, its not like every over 30 in their squad will leave in the same time. But the point is that who says they will buy more oldies NOW, maybe it was all to do with Ancelotti anyway?

Basically they might start a new era with these changes. Ancelotti and Berlusca dont care about milan in long terms as it seems, but a younger coach will. Also the stories about a rich Arab taking over from Berlusca mean that they will have someone who actually cares (we can name him serie a Abramovich if you want).

Realistically Milan wont become succesful over night, but with Kakà money and a rich Arab taking over, they will have enough money to bring in new fresh blood.

Also right now, they are very Kakà dependable, with these changes, they will change their system. Besides, if Leonardo is a smart man, then he will figure out that its time to give more chances to young players.

This is exactly what's happening. He's working on changing their system, mentality, stop being Kaka depended, because the man can be injured anyday anytime, and there should be a system that fits his tactical formation and not a single player.

Some of us are laughing at them but this could be Milan's turn-point.

    :disagree:

If anything serie A hit rock bottom in 2006 when the league's best club "juve" was thrown to serie B.

Clubs like roma and lazio that were heavilly in debt ended up 2nd and 3rd best teams in the league. Inter won the league with a 20+ points margin from the 2nd placed "roma". Roma were 10+ ahead of 3rd position lazio. That season was a joke !!

We had a similar discussion before about this topic and if anything i believe that serie A is on the rise right now. Last season serie A clubs spent more than any other league in europe (excluding the premier league). Italian clubs spent more than spanish and the german clubs.

Don't just look at the top clubs (mainly roma and milan) but rather to the rest of the league. At clubs like Napoli, Genoa, Udinese, Lazio, fiorentina and all of these clubs are getting better. Inter will always be inter (so they're most likely gonna buy some highly rated player if they ever sold Ibra) and Juve are improving and looking better.

So the league is hardly dying right now.......
