It really helps Sneijder that he has competent wingers like Maicon around him along a better passing central midfield. There's no doubt the likes of Cambiasshole, Zanetti, Stankovic and Motta have better passing ability than Sissoko, Melo and Poulsen. Well, at least what Melo has shown thus far. I'd have to disagree unless you show me exactly how Diego is hectic when he has the ball. Amauri's hectic with the ball, Chiellini too, De Ceglie possibly, definitely Iaquinta, Sissoko wins the best of the worst prize here hands down, but Diego?

I don't think Sneijder and Diego play in the same positions anyway. Diego as a Terquartista is ten times better while Sniejder in a playmaker role is a whole different issue.

It's the way he moves with the ball. He's not calm and relaxed, he jumps around and is just hectic and looks like he struggles to decide where to move and what to do. This doesn't has to be a bad thing. He just needs to relax more and don't rush so much with his feet. From a playmaker I expect a ball movement like Del Piero or Zidane has it for example. Again this is just Diegos type of play which doesn't make him a bad player.

Right, Diego just has a different style I agree. But he also tries defending and sometimes makes some pretty impressive tackles. If anything, I'd say that his playing style gives him an advantage over players like Zidane, Xavi, and Fabregas.
