I know, I don't understand how they were just allowed to take it that quickly, but that's hilarious stuff.

I know man, it took 3 replays for me to believe that goal just happened. Funny stuff, in a CL knock-out match aswell.
Yeah its funny, but shocking decision, hugely so. Just checked the replay, the ref did NOT give permission to take it, I'll describe what I saw after he ruled indirect freekick , Fabianski is holding the ball, Porto players wants to take it from him, he refuses, the ref comes up to him, takes the ball, is holding the ball, looking away from the goal while doing this, the Porto player, all he needed to do was this: Take the ball from the refs arms, not be given but take it, then pass it 1m to Falcao who easily taps it in. Then the ref just turns around and signals with his arm for the goal? I dont see how this is allowed?

I seen tons of quick freekicks been taken and suprising the fuck out of teams, in fact Henry with arsenal did it the most, but in those cases, the ref gives the go to the freekick taker, and its the defenders not being prepared, they eventually adapted and all became prepared as soon as freekicks are given. In this, I cant see him doing that at ALL, all I see is the ball being taken frpm him, nothing else of giving permisssion.

It's just the way he sprints other than that, he's the most predictable player on earth I've ever seen.

Boring, predictable, useless.
Yet nobody can stop him? I know his pace is a big deal, it's his strongest weapon, but just pace doesn't make you Robben.

Sol passes back to Fabianski (the clown) who picks it up, indirect freekick in arse's box, and Porto take the indirect freekick like 2 frigging seconds later, pass and shoots into basically empty net. Not sure how they could have gotten permission to take it so quickly?
i think it is the same with the the indirect vs. direct freekicks ... the referee has to indicate if its a direct or indirect freekick via a gesture and the same goes for if the referee wants to give-free the freekick via whistleing or if he allows quick freekicks ... so its pretty much up to the ref

 on the breakdown, I will have to check the highlights after the game to see that.

Isn't a backpass an indirect freekick by default?

Fiorentina defenders can't but usually he's easily stopped. Ask the Bundesliga defenders and other European teams. As predictable as boring he is.

Now Ribery is a player to watch. But Robben is just.....yuck.
