The Italy of South America comment has no bearing in this arguement but I feel I'm not getting what your saying. Anyways, sometimes Canada-US is so simliar its scary but that doesn't mean its ok for Tony Meoli to suddendly be keeper for Canada. The fact that Argentina is like Italy has nothing to do with anything (if that is what you meant). They are independent nations..they are different nations....Argentina-Italy....Iceland-Italy....United States-Iran: regardless of similiarities they are different nations PERIOD. Its makes no fvckin sense whatsoever and defeats the whole purpose of having National Teams. Nations like Teams could "fish" around to see if any good players around have any home blood....maybe Italy could have linked Batistuta since he had Italian blood. Why shouldn't most African nations get African players in Europe? Why shouldn't Algeria have the right to Zidane??

I know what you mean and I agree with that, but I didnt compare Argentina and Italy for that reason. I dont really agree with players being naturalised so they can play for another national team that isnt theirs, but every rule has an exception.
I meant Argentina being the south american Italy because theyre one of the strongest teams in the continent and have very good players, and Camoranesi could be perfectly be playing with Argentina right now, its not like he is from Bolivia and is leaving a country with poor football to go to a good one (Italy)

I'm sorry but he's right. He's been infinitely more impressive than Camoranesi this year and should be playing. Just as delpiero shouldn't be playing, cannavaro shouldn't be playing, perotta-zanetti shouldn't be playing. Thats the way trap works and there's unfortunately for him sod all he can do about it.

I know all the debate about the form of Del Piero, Cannavaro, and Camoranesi, but to suggest that these three superstars should be left on any bench is 100% shit. Thin about what you are saying. Del Piero on the the bench???? NO. Cannavaro on the bench? Who in Italy could replace him??? Please think before you post.
Dont get me wrong, I'm saying in the case DP would get benched for bad play and Cassano have a chance to play. The debate for the starting lineup is pretty well over in my opinion, only thing that's left to see is if Pirlo get's the nod(in which case I would be insanely suprised)

Fiore will play in this tournament, as he is deserving. But at the moment Camoranesi's form has won him the shirt, and we'll see if he can handle the pressure of the grand stage. I think he can. As for Del Piero - neither Denmark, Sweden, Bulgaria, England, Croatia, Switzerland, Greece, Russia, Czech, Latvia, nor Germany have a single player that has the footballing skills of Del Piero. That is why he is not on the bench.
Fiore has the right to say whatever he wants. I don't have an issue of him rejecting Camo but the manner in which he is doing it stinks to the high heavens. And his arrogance is unbelievable. I know Fiore is talented but Italy has a coach who does the selection & if he thinks Camo will do better then so be it. Fiore is being an ass & acting very selfishly.
I'm not getting into the Fiore-Camo starting arguement...I was just addressing the inclusion of non-Italians in the national team which I think is faulty. It was faulty when Italy did it in the 30's and won World Cups and it is faulty today. It defeats the whole notion of "nation" and "national players". Not happy with the keeper? Look around there must be a keeper of your country's origin around who can do a better job..but then what is the point of homegrown talent? What is the point of citizenship and belonging to a nation if Mr. X who has only been here a few years and happens to have a grandparent of the nations origin can overtake the place of a player who was born, raised and educated in the nation.
