..

the frontrunners by UEFA are Nedved, Adiano, and Shevchenko .

I'd like to see Nedved winning it. But i think it will most probably go to Shevchenko for being the top scorer in Seria A (24 goals) and for winning the Seria A.

my predictions:

1. shevcheko
2. Nedved
3. Adriano

Nedved or adriano do not derserve anything for the way they played last season. Nedved was frankly below par, and adriano was good but not good enough for the award. I feel there can be no good front runners this season, because the team that won the EURO was to be honest not a great team on the domestic front, so none of their players can realistically be a candidate. However, some teams had amazing players but uninspiring campagins in the CL and Euro. however, overall, i think it has to be henry. An unbeaten season, and 30 goals. If someone from arsenal doesnt win it, then its a scandal.

For my prediction I would have selected Shevchenko

He has scored many goals for AC Milan and can score when he is needed. That's y I vote for him.

Still wondering why Deco isn't a "front runner" so to speak. He was simply amazing for Porto, for the past two season actually. He deserves the award.

I think he's in the top ten..

He was amazing indeed(the leage, UEFA Cup, and CL sucsess) , but I think the he often has "off-games." I've seen quite a few and I don't watch their league that often.

It was mostly a team effort. much like Greece's EURO 2004 success.

Fifa World Player of the Year Award? What be that?

Oh, you mean the history-less plastic prize created by Sepp Blatter Corleone to secure Zambia or Qatar's votes for his re-election?

The one where the North Korean Federation picks Rivaldo and What's-his-face as best players of the year?

Umm, yeah that's one award that should be taken very seriously..

IMO,it should be either Ronaldinho or Henry ,its plain dumbness to put players like Zagorakis,Giggs,Owen and Kahn, instead of Reyes,Vieira and especially Totti:groan:,so i agree with the post above its not an award to take seriously.

POST EDIT:i mean Ronaldinho or Henry:angel:
