Benny had a missed touch that Rossi gobbled up. What part of "turn-over" don't you understand? The second goal I would have put away. 1 v 1 against Spector and Bornstien, Rossi didn't do shit.
Well if 2 goals and turning the game around is doing shit I hope he continues to do shit for a long time.

That's my opinion, too.

However, the rule tends to be interpretated so much in favour of the attacker that that one could probably have just easily gone Italy's way.

The red card was harsh, the pen was a pen (Chiellini shouldn't have been sent off) and Legro's jump over Donovan was a foul, but you were never likely to be given a second penalty.
If Clarke was sent off then Chiellini should have gone too, if the ref was being consistent. Which he was, in favor of Italy.

The worst thing is that there was a much hard tackle on Pirlo later in the game that didn't even get a card or the De Rossi on Dempsey fouls in the middles of the pitch (they were given as advantage) which could have and should have been cards.

They have a Giovinco, too.

But I hope to see them crash and burn without a doubt.

I used to have sympathy for Italy and defend them against English football fans claiming the Azzurri are a bunch of divers and cheats. But I'm sorry, I can't defend them anymore. The English are indeed right -- the Azzurri are dirty and cheap, and they do indeed dive.

Gattuso, De Rossi, Greasy Grosso, Maggot Zambrotta, Traitor Rossi, Petite Pirlo, Legrottaglie, Luca Bologne, and others are simply disgusting players. No idea how people from other nations can like the, pretty sorry fans in my opinion.
Why are you posting on this board? Are you actually a Juve fan?

I think the ref turned the game around in the 34th minute. Italy is going to get crushed against Brazil if their back line plays like they did today. I can't wait for that.

“I am happy for the result and for the double,” Rossi said after the game. “I dedicate my goals to my family who are watching the game on TV in America.

I don't really care about statistics, I care about correct calls, and that WAS a penalty by Legrottaglie.

If they would have given us a penalty for that, which they should have, it would have been a more fairly called game. But no, it was a joke officiated game.

I watched the game and did not see much diving from either team.

Anyway it was a well fought game and the USA impresses me everytime I watch them. They can beat Egypt and Brazil (based on the game today)

Clark's foul could have injured Gattuso (even though that would have been a good thing for Italy at that point), Chiellini's foul was obviously a penalty, but one that wouldn't have harmed Jozy physically and I don't think it was even needed to stop the play. I'd have to watch the replay again to be sure, though.

Pathetic.

Hopefully the traitor will pay for his family to exit the country he apparently hates.

So you are a Juve fan and you're not Italian? How is this possible? Should you not be cheering for the NY Red Bulls or something?
Poll the nationalities of posters on this board and you'll find about 2% are Italian, actually living in Italy. 15% of Italian decent and the rest a smattering of nationalities.
