I've been playing PES for decades and tbh I don't care about licenses because it takes 10 mins to patch the game. FIFA players always made fun of PES cause of fake team names and stuff like this and now Konami is taking this bragging card away from them. That's why I love it.

Btw, I have heard it's not possible to patch FIFA, is it true?
EA sucks, so this would make sense.

Still the best gameplay i guess. But they fucked up their first game for Next gen consoles back then. It was terrible. That was when my friends and i switched to FiFA and haven't looked back much.

It's not only the missing licenses for me, but the online modes, which are a level above of what PES offers imo.
Even if they now have Juve, it's still too much of a trade off to go back, at least for me it would.

That said - i play neither of the two at the moment :p

One has great presentation, okish gameplay, nice online modes and licenses, the other one has good gameplay, but worse online modes, lesser licenses (still i guess?), shitty presentation and a smaller fanbase. If they only could merge.

Same :sigh: Being old sucks. I don't even play online though so I might as well check out PES.

If you only want to play with your pal next to you on the coach - get PES.

Speaking of feeling old @Osman, a week or so ago i went to the grocery, and on my way i walked past a group of 9-10 year olds (come at me @Kyle) - and they greeted me with "Grüß Gott!" Like i'm already an old man

Back at home i immediately shaved my beard. The next day i went to the grocery again, to pick up some booze for a friends birthday party. Went to the checkout. The cashier looked at me with a serious face: "...Are you already 18?" :touched:
That face when i showed her my id. Priceless.

Btw. Do you play Basketball @Osman?

Regardless whether you like or play either game Juve not being in Fifa just seems like such bad marketing. We gained alot of popularity with Ronaldo being on the cover last year and I can imagine alot if children being influenced by FIFA on deciding what team they support.

Lol clean shaven for the win. I'm 35 and regularly mistaken for 20 year old, and sometimes asked for ID... Its not always good news, everyone new thinks my 8 years younger brother is older then me.

P.S yeah Pes is best for offline multiplayer, I play only vs my brothers. Tho the online connection is not bad. Occasionally play private matches there without any lag.

Then they took him off after the rape allegations.

In short, fuck EA regardless.

On PC you can patch anything. On PES the editing community is a big part, actually.

Will the patches work fo Xbox this year? Last year and year before that they didn't if I remember correctly.
Not sure, that's a Microsoft thing. I only play it on PS4.

Played a fair bit of FIFA this year but only career and online h2h, it's always the same.

Also this: https://www.givemesport.com/1490492-eas-value-drops-by-660m-after-losing-juventus-licence-to-pes

From the article:

EA Sports are no longer licensed to include Juventus' kits, team name or stadium on FIFA after the Old Lady signed an exclusive deal with Konami and eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020.

Juventus will now be known as 'Piemonte Calcio' on future editions of FIFA, with EA confirming the details in a statement on Tuesday.

It read: "The end of the partnership between EA SPORTS and Juventus Football Club will have the following effects in FIFA 20 and future FIFA Mobile Seasons.

"Piemonte Calcio will be a new playable team in FIFA 20 with a custom badge and kit throughout Kick-Off, Career Mode and EA Sports Volta Football.

[It] will use real-world, authentic players in FIFA 20 and FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. Players' chemistry within FIFA 20 Ultimate Team is unaffected by these changes.

Juventus leaving EA Sports will see Cristiano Ronaldo and co. play in a custom kit on FIFA 20, which has had a damaging impact on EA's value.

According to CNBC, EA's value dropped by £660m as a result of their shares dipping by 3.28%. They are now worth £22.1bn from £22.76bn.

The American publisher's shares were at £74.46 on Tuesday morning at 9.30am before they fell to £71.42 at 11am.

That's the Cristiano Ronaldo effect.

Konami's deal with Juventus will run for three years, so between now and 2022 FIFA fans will have to settle for custom kits, a dodgy name and a custom stadium.

It's currently unknown who will feature on the cover FIFA 20, though wantaway Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar and Women's World Cup winner Megan Rapinoe are the frontrunners.
