So I got the early release of the game and I have to say I am very satisfied with the gameplay. I am a bit annoyed at how EA rated Juve's players. Examples of this are Licht. How the fuck can Licht get TEAM OF THE SEASON for serie a last year in fifa 13 but get downgraded to a 79? wft? Also the downgraded Barzagli by 1 and Buffon. Should've stayed the same in my opinion. Besides that, the game is extremely polished and I am having a blast with UT. Ive got both GTA 5 and FIFA 14 and I keep finding myself thinking about fifa when I am playing GTA 5 and that just shows how good the game is. The graphics are nothing to write home about but in terms of gameplay, the game feels better and a little new. The player annimations are awesome and it def looks a lot better. Pace has been downgraded a little which is good because people abused the FUCK out of that mechanic in this game. In doing so, EA has produced a mroe realistic game as well. The full game of FIFA 14 is great and I would say it is def better than 13!

Just played it at friends house and decided that I will most definitely will not buying it. FIFA 12 finesse is back, you just got to catch the right angle and you can launch them from 30 metres without any problem. Scored an absolutely ridiculous finesse goal with Robben, it was like from +35 metres and only a couple metres away from the side line. The whole shooting system is basically fucked up, you if you time it right and put enough power, you can score from out of the box while running and having defender in front of you. Headers are so over-powered it's not even funny, I've scored from probably about 35-40% of my corners.

They solved a lot of problems like that stupid turning thing, when you could completely change your running direction while running at full speed, the fake shots can't be abused no more and first touch feels more realistic, but I'd say they fucked up more things than they have solved. But that's nothing new, it's an EA thing - we fix something this year, we make some aspect of the game completely retarded and next year we solve that thing and everyone thinks we are making progression.

In terms of headers and finnese shots, the developers came out on twitter and told the public that they are planning on patching the headers and finnese shots so that should take care of that.

In terms of player ratings, Licht getting a 78 rating is beyond me. How does one go from Team of the Season being rated 87 to going down to a 78?

Overall tho, I am in love with the game once again. With all new releases to games comes problems and soon enough it willbe patched.

That's is usually the case, yes, but not not this time. I've played FIFA for too many years to not be able to understand how fucked up this game is. It's like the combination of all the worst things from previous FIFA's: FIFA 12 shooting, FIFA 13 corners.. Last year, the lamest thing was near post shooting, it was so much easier just to smash it straight past the keeper to the near post without even putting any effort instead of actually aiming for the far corner, where GK can't reach.

This year they seem to have fixed that, but now the far post shooting looks ridiculous. Like that goal at 2:20 - I've scored at least one of them in every single match I've played and that's a type of shot that goes in once in 1000 tries.

I'm hearing they are releasing a patch that should sort those problems, but for now it's a joke of a game.

I haven't played online yet.. I'm starting with the carreer option, then i'm going to start with Ultimate Team and after that i'll give Seasons a shot..
Starting with Seasons today results in having a fuckload of very good fifa players in the 9th division, because they haven't promoted yet. This fucks up your stats if you lose a couple of matches in that division. In a couple weeks/months time division 9 will be full of players who deserve to be there, resulting in a WWWWWW

AFAIK Lich ended up being 81 in the latest update of fifa 13. How the fuck did he take a dive to 78!

Many ratings are totally off! The one which pisses me the most off (apart from lich) is Barzagli's pace. The dude is one of the faster CB's around, yet he only has 69 in sprint speed. The same as Mexes and less than Bonucci - who has 74!
And talking about Bonucci, he has 78 in long passing, while the likes of Pique (who never passes the ball longer than 3 metres) has 84.

Unless you are a Barca, Real or United fan, then theese ratings are fuckin horrible! Players like Pique, Vidic and Cassilas who all had a substandard year,still has 86 and 87 in ratings! W T F!
