He misses Tevez. Osvaldo is not a support striker.

Llorente needs a player beside him to bring the ball down for or to make runs off him to keep the defenders on their heels. Defenders were running through Llorente all game because Osvaldo wasn't in the picture. There was no threat for a knock on or a run off of Fernando. Open season.

He was caught trying to dribble multiple defenders and failed, but it's rare to see him controlling a ball in a glut of defenders, it's almost always released before he finds himself in that position.

Also, as always happens when pressed, our back line gets pinned by our box and the midfielders compensate by helping the defense, which leaves the strikers isolated.

He had a poor game with what touches he had, but those circumstances definitely don't favour him.

Even though I don't like Nando so much, your post makes perfect sense to me. But I'm kinda tired to see him release the ball back to his teammate every single time. Opponents already know what Llorente will do when he got the ball.
