Juventus are preparing alternatives for the clash with Inter after Mirko Vucinic returned from international duty with an injury.

The striker was stretchered off during Montenegro’s 1-1 draw in Poland on Friday evening.

Bianconeri medics stated it was “a bruise to the left knee” that will require further tests, but they are confident it is not a sprain.

Nonetheless, it’s a race against time to get Vucinic ready for the Serie A showdown with Inter on Saturday.

The 29-year-old’s knee is said to be swollen and Antonio Conte does not want to run risks ahead of the Champions League opener.

Carlos Tevez is due to start, but his partner could be Fernando Llorente, Sebastian Giovinco or Fabio Quagliarella.

All of them have spent this week training in Turin, as they were not called up for international duty.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, it will give Llorente his first competitive start in a Bianconeri jersey after he arrived from Athletic Bilbao lacking match fitness.

I dont get why the media is trying to label him as a flop. He hasn't played but we are just two matches in to the season.

Not just a flop, but they are trying to politicise the issue by saying that Conte hasn't been impressed by him in preseason. You can't question this till much later into the season. Right now, I'd take it with a pinch of salt coz it's just people's imaginations making stories up. We need to see him play in our system before we make our own judgments anyway.

we need to have more rotation between midfilders which means that we need to bench more of pirlo and vidal so that they can be ready for champions league and i also want to see more partnerships in attack.
