He looked really tired out there. Maybe it takes some time for him to get used to Conte's trainings, or he's working his ass off in those sessions to reach max sharpness.
Like a Lion that's spent its life behind bars, being given the freedom it deserves it feels confused and bewildered by the great savanna (in this case represented by Serie A)
He was lost, but IMO , apart from his matchfitness, he lacks confidence!!. Still we ned to remember tht he is a great player and im pretty sure he will bounce back as the preseason goes on!!!.
Watching him live and away from the TV cameras most of the time, he looked:
1. Too unselfish -- too quick to pass or deflect the ball away instead of taking control of it for any length of time
2. Too slow
#1 isn't that bad of a thing, especially for the new guy on the team. The #2 is what I am worried about -- he easily got beat to balls by Everton defenders that came from behind him. Maybe that's where some match fitness is needed.
The fact that he's slow doesnt make a big difference to me, Trez was never the fastest player we had but he was deadly, you just have to play to the persons strenghts and weaknesses
