He was quoted saying he liked our offer better than all the rest.

Mark, get a grip. If Llorente isn't slow, Borriello keeps up with Usain Bolt...
He's not Cardozo slow is what I mean. :D

ok or he just didn't want to go to us at any cost? we don't know exactly. But I have heard he rejected, juve, real madrid and inter last summer cos he wants to go to barca (even as that means he will only be vice Messi). Don't know if it is true but I hope it is true.
I don't even found him so amazing. Yes he is better then matri, bendtner but not miles better. spending 20m on him is lunatic specially if he gets 5m a season after taxes.
Bilbao didn't want to sell. So the only option would have been to pay the amount set in the buyout clause, which we didn't/couldn't afford.

In my opinion it's hard to tell, what impact he could have at Juve. He definitely is in a low now, but he could explode after arriving in Torino just because of the sheer happiness after leaving Bilbao. You never know. At the moment I don't think we need a tank, but rather a Reus type of player, or a Giovinco who scores :)

same I rather see us sign a more flexible type of player :)

And he won't be happy at Juve as well. The douchebag refused to handshake his coach being subbed off the last 10 mins with his team winning!

I'd say Conte would bench him for life if he does a similar thing in Juve.
Conte would have gone all delio rossi on Hulk's ass if that happened at Juve

Right lets just get Drogba, watch him bang the goals, and the haters can go fuck themselves. Job Done!

:sergio: do you think conte would have slapped Quag at the Milan game as hè was at the sidelines?

you don't kick or slap your own players Andy. and i hope from the bottom of my heart conte would react the same as alessio did.

How many seasons do you think he would last, though? Assuming he would come here and be amazing we will soon enough be in this same situation. We need a more long-term solution.

    Thanks mark for the info.

Badass has a point about drogba and llorente. If we get llorente... we will go full on him and he WILL be the promised top striker. We will be stuck wioth him for the next 3 years or so.... and in case we would like to buy someone else in case of him failing... it would be tough.

On the otehr hand..... Drogba is in his last year maybe of football... but like all the greats, he has class in him and is not like he suddenly turned into crap by playing in china. We can use him as a band aid (a luxury band aid i would say), to carry us thru the rest of the CL campaign.... and then buy a real long term solution by the end of the season.

Is not mad at all if you ask me.... because im pretty sure that drogba would fit like a glove in our team-

Conte would not have reacted on the pitch to Quag, but in the dressing room he would have thrown a huge fit haha.

I think Drogs in Jan (Feb technically cause of ACN) would sort us out this year (particularly in CL). Though we would prob need a Lewandowski from next Summer for the long term plan
