I been saying this for years, but logic doesnt compute generally, yes La Liga is more carefree/offensive oriented mindset instead of tactical/cautious minded (they rather chase for goals and expose more then bide time etc), but the overall defence level isnt that horrible that they would be exposed compared to other top leagues (otherwise they wouldnt dominate EL), some people dont want to realize the insane quality likes of Cristiano and Messi possess (and the huge gulf between the league and the two teams they play in ofcourse). For example Villa and Eto'o have been throughout the years the two best strikers IMO (since Henry declined), but they hardly scored more then 25 goals in the league itself. Being a quality attacker in La Liga might give you 5ish or more goals at best then more reserved league (btw Bundesliga highest scoring one in top 4), but not 20-25+ extra goals like those two freaks are doing.
Llorente is good striker, slightly overrated, Dzeko is without a doubt the better player and the most gifted one, and the one that Juve should target, not only he can score the tap in, the headers, he can create goal scoring opportunities by his own, score from outside the box. I would be happy if we signed the spanish but he isn't exactly a house hold name.
Seems to be fine for Llorente to play for someone else from the Group Stage onwards.
Playing in the Qualifying Rounds only seems to cup-tie you for the duration of the Qualifying Rounds now.

Oh, and for all you banging on about Spanish players failing in Serie A, remember: Llorente is Basque.

About Spanish players and Serie A?
To some extent.
I'd be more inclined to think it would be an issue for a smaller, more mobile, dribbling type forward as it'd be harder to find space as teams in Serie A keep things much more compact.
Llorente doesn't really need space to be effective, though.
He's big enough and strong enough that if the service is good there is nothing much a defence can do to stop him - rather like it used to be with Luca Toni in his prime.
He may take a little while to get used to a higher standard of marking (and a bit more by way of nasty tricks from defenders), but I don't doubt he'd do fine in Italy.
