Calma Calma! Why the narrative of a star player in the squad not fitting a new coach's tactics start this early? Isn't the coach's job to get the best out of his players, esp. key players?
If Motta can't find a solution to maximizing the potential of the Chiesa-Dusan-Yildiz trio, I can't see much of a difference between him and Allegri.

It's not only about Yildiz. The burden is on everyone.
Dusan has to show that if provided with better service, he is a striker clinical enought to convert those chances amap instead of missing again and again like he did this year. Chiesa is under more pressure. If Motta puts him back to his natrual position, he has to prove that he's still the same player before the injury. Maybe less explovise, but creative, unpredictable and lethal as usaul around the box. There's no more excuses of jihadball now.
Yildiz is not as stressed or eager to prove himself as Dusan or Chiesa is imo. He's not numero uno in the team. His talent and potential are clear to everyone but he is still raw. He needs time and any decent coach would give him time because he's simply the 3rd best option (maybe tied with Soule if we keep both) on the frontline. Since Motta plays a three men offense, I assume he'll have more consistent playing time and all he has to do is learn by experience, make real progress. Goals and assists will come.

and he's right. we have two players who can at least semi regularly decide a match, they both deserve top wages within the squad
vlahovic's 12m from next season is insanity though. no one will pay anywhere near that to chiesa. if liverpool or bayern or some other club goes crazy for him, then good for him

But somehow the Benign Baguette French Faggot deserves 7+ million for staying fit, jogging on the pitch, and showing up once every 7-8 games.

Dusan’s wages are as outrageous as De Ligt’s. We’ll be stuck with it or we’ll have to listen to offers that aren’t amazing because very few clubs will match that salary. That said Dusan even in a shit season has showed up multiple times in a way Chiesa has not. You can put a lot of the blame on coaching, but big money players should be difference makers regardless of circumstances. His numbers are nowhere as prolific as they should be for what was promised. His best season had similar output as Rabiot’s best season and he plays much further ahead and takes makes many more attempts. I hope he stays because I want to see what he does with a different coach, but I can see why the club thinks differently. Especially when we have to balance the books and all that. Chiesa would make a meaningful dent in that.
