both young guns would have a 5 year contract. bonucci will be better than manolas for the next 5 years, and alves would perform better than de sciglio for at least 2 years of the same period. both young guys are a considerable downgrade on the outgoing players, yet they cost more.

and price of the replacements isn't my biggest problem with our sales of the recent years. some of our sold players were simply unique and irreplaceable. marotta can work his ass off trying to find alternatives, but bottom line is: you shouldn't let the classy ones leave.

Reminds me of when we were going to sign Giuseppe Rossi from Villareal for 30M and we couldn't agree on the bonus clauses either. Some niggling penny's we couldn't agree on which caused another transfer saga that costed us way too long.

I think he's overpriced though and I wouldn't loose any sleep if we lost out on him tbh.

I wouldn't usually care if we missed but at this point the club is living in the early 00's with these piss poor sale figures and reluctant to spend over 40M euros when teams supposedly worse off than us in every way need to drop more on single players.

At this point we need to pull our fingers out and get our first choice options instead of penny pinching until we end up with a last resort Rincon or Hernanes

Our squad is fucked if we keep missing out on everybody.
