Just saw this. I have a PS4, but Bethesda games were unplayable on the PS3 so I'm not taking the chance.

I doubt it will have the same problems as before. PS3 was bad for developers but PS4 (and XB1) are much more similar to PC so it should be ok.
Also, to be honest you will probably have better graphics on PS4 than 7570.
Unless you really have the cash to upgrade to at least something like a GTX 960 or R9 280X (plus probably PSU as well) and enough room in your case, I think it would be better to just get it on PS4.

My brother already reserved the PC Pip Boy edition since it was announced, so unless you can switch it I don't think that'll happen 
. A new PSU and graphics card is what I'm looking at now, I'm assuming it's going to cost around not more than $250 each since I'll be splitting it with my brother.
And they were also so glitchy too on the PS3. I liked that added security of being able to use the console to get around any glitches I may encounter, which happened a lot less often on the PC to begin with.

this is why i play bethesda games on pc.
mods fix so many problems.
edit: and i dont play open ended games right away regardless of console. i wait a few months for the problems and bugs to get fixed. price usually goes down too.
last game i bought on launch was gta 5 for ps3. i dont but games on release day. my policy is wait for it to hit the half price mark.

You're a lucky man then. Fallout 3 would freeze and crash at the beginning of the game when entering the supermarket, brought it back and downloaded it illegally after that. New Vegas, see below. Skyrim was similar to New Vegas, but with the added fun of random crashes. It sucks because they're all amazing games too. I just don't want to take that risk again.

Guy (second post) put a 970 in and new PSU and checked which PSUs fit. Good instructions.

$385 total maybe more if you get the same GPU he got with the more fancy cooling
Of course just having the PC pip boy edition (since you've already reserved it) + an extra $60 for PS4 version is still cheaper than getting new hardware. Depending on how much you already put on deposit for the pip boy edition and if you really want it, you could also just cancel that and just get a normal PS4 version.

The new architecture and the great GPU will make it better on the PS4 than the XBox One. After all, Sony is a much larger market, considering the last numer I saw, there were about 20 million PS4s sold and about 7.5 million XBox Ones.
I had some issues as I got farther into Skyrim, I have about 1300 hours into that game. New Vegas was horrible off the bat, but that's an Obsidian issue. Oblivion was fine.
