Strange situation. I think we are making a big issue out of it if he's not playing because of that. Though, the feeling I get is, Conte is leaving him out for tactical reasons. If he doesn't come on as sub against Atalanta, I'd say it would be more than that, and it would be silly. Quag is the last player anyone would want to make an example of. It was a heat of the moment thing, and I think it is in everybody' best interests that he plays. No point killing his form going into the winter break, very honestly. Jan is a bad time for Juve, historically, and if like people say, Matri isn't in our plans then I see no reason he should feature ahead of Quag.

We've played games in three different competitions since then and Quag has not seen one minute. Stop deluding yourself.

He'll come back and play soon enough, maybe even this weekend, but this punishment is not surprising nor unwarranted.
