I won't deny being a fanboy, but I am completely rational about this. You cannot break into being a first team starter when you're thrown in for 15mins every now and then. It takes a lot more to find your match rhythm. Ask yourself how many 90 min games he got last season?? And if you still feel the same way, I won't question the opinion.

By that same logic, we should not have criticized Elia. Martinez as well. Surely not Iaquinta (who, overall, has shown & added more to Juve than Quag). And I'm sure we can think of many others throughout the years.
Of course not. Ive never criticised Elia at any point, and I don't think too many here can blame him for the circumstances he found himself in. The only criticism, you might notice directed towards Martinez is, hs price tag. If he was bought for less, a variable, he was not in control of, he would get less stick. In fact, if you remember before his injury in the del Neri season, he'd shown some pretty decent glimpses in the Milan game. And nobody would mind him on the team if he wasnt an unknown who cost us 12m, and got paid 2-2.5m.
As for Quag's game time, you're actually mistaken. He is going to be seeing a lot more game time than you'd like to think given the Coppa, CL and Serie A schedule. But more important than that, he's starting the season with the team, and that'll make things easier as the season progresses. Lets see how it plays out.

Should we play Quag instead of either Vucinic or Giovinco to give him playing time to see if he can regain his form of 2 seasons ago? Of course not. It's his own responsibility to show Conte what he's made of when he's subbed in. Fanboys will say that he probably will only get time when the team is winning by a high margin (such as last weekend in Udine), while the team is on second gear, but that's not really Conte's concern. It's up to him to prove himself. So far he didn't.
