Matri hasn't failed, if anything, Quag with only 2 goals so far has failed. At least Matri is very good at something(scoring), Quag is alright at a bunch of things.

I want to see Del Piero and Matri play. Del Piero is the most creative striker we have while Matri is the best goalscorer.

 Quag has two goals to Mirko's three in perhaps 1/3rd the game time. Quays movement is the best of all the strikers we have at the moment. And diss him as much as you want his work ethic helps our attack in a huge way. So far he's not had a chance to play enough with Pepe and Matri and Vucinic, but the minute he has those guys, he has the ability to help our dismal attacking step up a notch. I genuinely feel, Quag-Matri has the most goals in them as a combo, but the flair and finesse of Quag-Del Piero is perhaps what we are missing. Remember them last year?

I honestly don't see it. I'm not at all rating Quag they way you do. I value Matri, Del Piero and Vucinic ahead. Sure Vucinic can't score but to be honest Quag isn't the biggest scorer either. Vucinic can at least create and beat his man when put on the left flank.

Nobody compares with Alex. But skill and ability wise, Quag can do a lot more for himself than Matri can when he's not getting any service. And Vucinic beating his man on the left side means nothing. We've all seen how ineffective he's becoming and taking his position as a Conte favourite for granted. The guy has two fancy moves in the whole game. The rest of the time he's too busy completing his evening walk without a care for the team. Maybe you don't rate him and I do, but I honestly feel he brings so much more to the attack than Vucinic does. Mirko is making a living off the 433. Quag would be preferred to him in most other formations because he is the more effective player.

Twitter rumor suggesting he will go the other way for Jovetic

Will be a shame if it happens. I'd never trade a guy who cares for the shirt. Hopefully Conte will stand by his earlier words, when he said as long as he's around Quag goes nowhere.

From what I've seen so far it certainly seems this way.

Wasn't Quagliarella our savior last season and when he got injured the whole team cracked ?

IMO he'd be more useful at this stage than vucinic.
He's not in the same form he was in last season. If you want Quag to play, it has to be at the expense of Matri since that's his best position. He's no way creative enough to replace Mirko.

He's a different type of forward than Mirko. His speciality may not be running past his man, but that doesn't mean he won't be any less effective. He's a more dynamic player, on and off the ball from Mirko. He's also more of a goalscorer. He won't drift as wide as Vucinic, which is why I beg to differ that he can't work with Matri, because I think playing closer to him they will play well off each other something Vucinic has stopped doing. For all his creativity, he's too slow, and too selfish which means nothing in the way this team is built to play. I agree that Quag isn't in the same devastating form of last season, but I've said this time and again, to find any kind of form and sharpness every player needs continuity. If he was getting half as lucky as Mirko has with all the starts despite his lax attitude, I think our forward line would have a different story to tell. Its really a matter of finding your feet and rhythmn. There's no doubt in my head that if Quag had played 20 games like Mirko has, we'd have a different story to tell. His attitude is far superior. And his game (even if you think I'm being biased) far more effective.

The creativity argument holds no water as far as I'm concerned if there is no end product. That cannot be our excuse to play Mirko anymore. He is hurting the team. When was the last time anyone on this team got whistled at!? He'll even Bonnucci does more than that guy.

“Russian side Zenit and Villarreal of Spain were interested in him,” Beppe Bozzo said in an interview with TMW.

“However, Quagliarella has always wanted to remain at Juventus and end his career in the black and white jersey.
“The club also have no intention of selling him either.”

“Fabio struggled at the start of the campaign for consistency, but now he is charged up and waiting for his opportunity,” Bozzo continued.
“When that time comes then he will give a great contribution to the club.”

:agree:

Very different!! Quag can score.
He's older than Vucinic and he scored less than him throughout his career  Even this year he had some amazing misses (vs Napoli at 3:3 on Elia assist and vs Milan at 1:0 on Chiellini's pass). Quag isn't a support striker and for a target man he's missing way too much.
We must play Matri as a CF. Now it's obvious. No matter how he plays, he's by far the most lethal of our CFs.

I'd be surprised if Quag has less goals per game than Vucinic throughout his career. Still, as much as I like Quag it looks like he's not going to be the same player than he was before his injury. Today he was awful, although he wasn't on the pitch for a long time
