Ok heres my question... Is Quag the susbtitute of Diego? I remember reading Marotta saying that he alredy had a susbtitute of Diego, he was talking about Quag?

Or is Qquag a replacement of Trez?
Marotta says we needed a CB a Winger and a Striker if one leaves.

This was said after we confirmed Diego so I assume with Diego being sold Quag was brought in as his replacment.

So that should mean if Trez leaves that we will buy another Striker no?

Nop because marotta has already confirmed his strikers (Amauri, Iaq, DP, Quag)

I reckon quag is a replacement for both.

Aquilani will also play a part as a replacement to diego. Though that said our system has now changed so the man behind the front two no longer exists.

I'm considering getting his name on the back of my Juventus jersey for this season just to confuse everybody who sees it.

But I'll probably stick with Marchisio.

so we basically swap a player that does not fit into our system with a player that fits into our system. i am totally ok with that.

to the people that claim that diego would have been a better second striker you just need to compare the qualities that both players bring to the table and evaluate which of them are important as striker/second striker:

Dribbling:
Diego is a class above Quag when it comes to dribbling, but you saw last season how far it brings you only being able to dribble but not more
Passing:
Diego is a better passer and creator than Quag obviously, but with our system being 4-4-2 there will not be much need to create through the middle, so its a skill not needed
Shooting:
Quag is a better shooter of the ball than Diego. Diegos shots where most of the time very weak. As second striker Quag will make more out of positions where he shoots just outside the box
Heading:
I did not even see Diego get into the position to head bare even head once, while Quag is a pretty good header of the ball so when we really on the wings to supply crosses Quag is better suited as second striker again

so you see, for the position as second striker Quag IS better suited than diego ever can be

Its krasic for me, ive got high expectations of him, the only signing that im really pleased with.
If Aquilani is fit, and healthy he'll be deadly. I'm happy with Aquilani, Krasic, Bonucci. I'm pleased with Quagliarella too.

But Marotta confirmed Diego and look what happened and I don't know how Aguilani a CM can replace Diego whos supposed to be our SS.

Another thing is that Del Neri wanted to keep Trez because we needed a goal scorer so why would we sell him without replacing him with another one.?

I'm meh about Quag. I've got high expectations on Krasic, Aquilani and Bonucci. I'm slowly getting used to no Diego in our team...I suppose it could work with out system, as boring as it is.
