Forget starting, how about 10-20 minutes in a match here or there? There's no reason why we can't provide this for some of these young players.
He tries to change the words everyone has been saying. Nobody expects Allegri to start him against Inter or in CL, but 15/20 some minutes and starting against low tier shouldnt been a problem at all. We have enough prove by now.

No idea, maybe.

But again, at least I watch senior football every day. Could not care less about youth players until they are ready to play regularly at senior level and I won't pretend to know either way. I trust Allegri on this more than anything else.

I am not changing anything. You and some others have literally made that claim that Fagioli and Miretti are better than Rabiot for example.

There literally has been NO proof. You have no tangible proof about anything with these kids. Youth level does not matter one bit in comparison to grown men. You have an opinion, and that is fine.

You see them play well against kids their own age, you see Rabiot play badly and that HAS to mean the kids are better. Has to.

Good for you I guess, but please step down from your high horse. "Stop hiding" lmao are you 11?

And it is not like I ever said they are shit or anything close to that. I like them, especially he and Fagioli seem like they will be good one day. Imagine getting this worked up about someone saying kids are not ready right now.

Ofc he's not ready, otherwise he would have played more during the season like other players his age under Max.
honestly man i'm not sure anymore. max values experience very dearly, maybe even overvalues it. and frankly, while i wasn't too convinced by soulé or aké, i always wondered why we didn't use de winter a bit more. okay, his shoulder injury kept him out for a while after the malmö game, still, we could have used him before that too.

back to miretti, the earlier games i saw him playing for the u23 or primavera he looked very promising, both in serie c and in the youth league. he looked like a kid who just shat his pants for the few minutes with the first squad though. then bang, a performance like this. i watched the 1st half, he was easily among our best players in that period, zero hesitation, zero mistakes, zero timid boy-like respect for the opponent, he fit right in. i have to check the stats, i don't remember him missing a single pass, and he had a few risky direct forward passes, stuff that you never see from our midfielders, never. i won't watch the 2nd half, it was a shit match overall, the first half was enough proof that miretti is more than ready to play in serie a for at least 30 minutes at least against bottom half teams.

as you said, let's hope for the best. we should really start playing him regularly and see what he's made of. with every single top flight footballer mentality is the key, we need a much bigger sample size to evaluate that. i'm convinced that he's ready both physically and technically.

If he doesn't play 270 minutes in our last 3 matches then it's just pure incompetence.
i wouldn't go full rus about it lol. we have zero idea about his physical state, he was probably tired and got subbed out for a reason. even low energy serie a is a big jump from serie c for every player, let alone an 18 year old who just made his debut.

but yeah, i agree that he should play every remaining match, either as a starter or a (not time wasting) sub. if there's a zero risk situation to let him grow, let him make not costly mistakes, and don't risk getting him injured then it's those 3 matches.

We keep our youngsters like they are some kind of arts, dont push to hard or it will explode?

9 games for 16 year old, 38 games for 17 year old, and in current season 31 games in all competition. Look at Germany, they put their youngster like it just not a big deal

Ok so youre claiming that you dont follow youth football, you dont care etc. Than why posting that theyre toothpicks and arent ready for some first team football whatsoever? Very contradicting. I mean for those statements you should know it right.

Hiding behind Allegri is kinda cheap aswel. So its fair to criticise him for tactical or rotational mistakes but not for not using youth players?

Because they literally are toothpicks physically. They're teenagers, very few are not.

I said they are not ready not because I watched them a lot, but because I don't live in a world where it is a conspiracy theory by the coach not to play young guys when he clearly played young guys before who were ready.

And again, I am not hiding behind anything. This is not that serious, you don't have to have a definitive opinion about everything right away, trust me. And to be perfectly honest - it isn't ok to criticize anyone for anything you don't have the experience of doing. That's why I said all of us fans just pretend to know shit when we bitch about tactics and players and coaches.

But since we're on a forum and having trivial discussions like this I think it is pretty self explanatory why it is more obvious to have at least an educated guess about something at senior level while it is not the same for youth levels.

We watch senior football every day, they all play against other players of all ages and sizes and experience levels. We have video games, we play football in our own lives at some level so it is much easier to do. With 18 year olds you have no idea because you don't see them nearly as much first of all and then they only play other players their own age which is obviously much easier.

You can see what a 25 year old is doing at the level he is supposed to be doing it. With kids you can just hope and pray because unless they are Mbappe from day one it is anyone's guess how and of them will turn out.

You're not wrong, apparently his passing accuracy after the first half was 100%. The best thing though was 3 key passes and in general quite a few going forward. I almost wish Arthur was still injured, lol.

It’s okay mate I’m busting your balls. Your Miretti comment in U17 thread was horribly timed and you was overreacting in my opinion.

Just apologize to Daniel and we’re fine.

Timing maybe but I didn't make judgements on them based on that game alone and I don't think I was making judgements at all. Saying they're not ready for regular playing time at senior level when they cannot be consistently great at youth level is not an overreaction IMO. But agree to disagree.

Just apologize to Daniel and we’re fine.

He needs experience and growing into the expectations. We have some pointless games remaining, nothing to loose by playing him but a lot to win by doing so. As you note, we get to evaluate him but, again, he gets +200 minutes of Serie A.
Make as many mistakes you can to learn from because it really doesn't matter. Have fun and enjoy it, Miretti!
