from fi:

Fabio Miretti had an impressive first start for the senior squad at the age of 18 in midfield.

“Fabio had a good game, he knows how to play football, so it’s easier for him. He always tries to pass it forward, which is a good sign, he played with good character and I am very pleased that the team looked to him today. I thank the Juventus academy that raised him over the last eight years.

Miretti to Sky Sport: “It was an indescribable feeling. Doing the full path at #Juve and then be a starter… I will always keep that memory in my heart. Everyone helped me, from the mister to my teammates. I always felt like one of them, and that's why I felt at ease.

My biggest inspiration is #DeBruyne from #City, at #Juve my point of reference is #Locatelli. He is also my inspiration."

Obviously going to see him loaned to Serie B team for next year. Reactions here will be entertaining to say the least. :lol2:

That being said, Forza Miretti, hope he stays and becomes a star here.

.
PI, all I ask of Max is a fair shake at making the team this summer. If not ready yet, then fine going to B. I think you would agree vet guys who Max trusted have fuked him this year. IMO, giving those guys more time next season tells them we can continue to play with no accountability.

If Fagioli and/or Rovella return this summer there will be little room for Miretti. A Serie B loan sounds good tbh
our injury record alone is the reason why management should try and fill every possible slot in the squad. we have the usual 17+4+4 rule to deal with, and currently have pinsoglio, kean and rugani (only for the league) as homegrown players. kean is bound to leave, so we'll have 2 free homegrown slots in the league, 3 in the cl.

miretti would be our cheapest player. again, i didn't see the match, but those direct vertical passes should be more than arthur has ever produced for juventus. also, 3 key passes on his senior debut at 18? i think we should keep him just for those passes. his consistency is obviously still unknown, as is his mental strength, his passing though, bloody hell, certainly something we can't realistically expect from any of our current mids, and those guys are paid millions.

He'll take fewer years to develop and learn more if he stays with this club's first team imo since he does seem to already produce things we don't even see from regulars at this club.

Don't know if people here saw Mount's first season with Lampard, he was still a noob and raw at the time too, not a clear polished talent. He was given trust and it changed his career trajectory.

Some people may disagree and thats fine.

What was amazing is that he made several no look passes, found his teammates with great balls, and our strikers being mediocare as they are, fucked up every single ball. Thats the difference between playing for a good team and a mediocare one like we are right now.

He was excellent all match. Excellent passer, looks for the incisive pass constantly. Not afraid to play in the final ball, or have a go at goal and could easily have scored that layoff from Vlahovic if it doesn’t deflect just wide. Created both our goals even though he doesn’t get credited with assists (hockey assist I guess). And should have had an assist if Vlahovic wasn’t having the worst match of his Juve career. Also has great off ball movement, constantly finding space and making himself available for a pass

Negatives were he doesn’t seem to have much pace, got caught easily and stripped of the ball on a counter with his head down when he should have laid the ball off already, but his style of play doesn’t to need a lot of pace. At the moment his defensive positioning, physicality, and possibly effort while defending (hard to say on this one as he wasn’t involved much in this aspect of the game) are a bit lacking, but those things are entirely understandable given that he is only 18 and that side of the game is rarely a strong point for teenage midfielders playing against men.

Should absolutely stay with the first team next year in my opinion, and showed today he has the ability to play at this level. Even if we upgrade our mid with a top CM like SMS, he’s homegrown, he’s low wages, he’s clearly very talented, and can easily be a 5th/6th CM getting 1000+ minutes, starting matches where rotation is needed and in things like Coppa.

Would love to see our midfield line-up next year be:

Zakaria - Locatelli - SMS (or other top mid)

Mckennie, Rovella, Miretti, Fagioli

Rabiot + Arthur out. Wouldn’t mind selling Mckennie too if it helps raise funds for a top class CM + Winger

bernaredeschi always look other players and then send ball to them.

just watched it. i know it was just venezia but the season is practically over, he should start every remaining game. that insanely accurate, direct forward passing is something we've been missing since forever.
Just like with Fagioli last year we wasted many games where they couldve played.

Both like to get the ball in the box and we miss players like that. Its sad that we had to wait 35 rounds. Hopefully he’ll start the remaining games indeed

Tak!

I also noted when they lined up for the game that he looked so excited. He looked like he was about to enter a party. Super happy, excited and relaxed. I expected him to look a bit nervous as debutants usually do, so I immediately felt sure he would do well. Not as well as he did obviously but well. Our squad consists largely of players that want to play but mostly because they are expected to want to play. Only a few steps on and really wants to play football. We need more determined people that can show the way for others. Locatelli and Vlahovic started the same way and then he regressed a bit. I said it before but I think there's something rotten in our dressing room, holding us back. Could be the attitude from Sandro and those similar to him. But, I just have this gut feeling that Bonucci (even if players refer to him very positively, such as Miretti did today) is one important source. I am not saying we need to kick him out, but we need someone to kick out the serpents like Nedved and the likes, analyze the source of the virus. Then an overhaul to reduce the power of those left, such as Bonucci (if my gut-feeling-with-absolutely-no-evidence-or-even-own-understanding-of-why-I-have-this-feeling-is-correct).
