Miretti and Fagioli offers something we're desperate for and they offer something completely different. It won't hurt to have them around and field them against smaller teams where we need creators combined with Zakaria's running and strength.
Plus both are homegrown and don’t cost us anything so it’s not a burden, it’s just that maybe getting little minutes here is not ideal for their development so I would keep Fagioli and loan out Miretti and hope two of them +Ranocchia can be starters for us by 2024

Fabio Miretti’s father: "I had called him the day before the match against Venezia & he had told me that he would start the game. I asked him 'Are you excited?', 'No, why should I be? If I have to play I play.' Nothing changes for him playing with Juventus or in the courtyard with friends, maybe as he grows up something will change.”

G shit
i highly doubt this was true , every young kid has their own idols , look at Neymar,Mbappe , Mbappe had a room with CR7 pics .

More quotes from his dad: “He never brought home photos or autographs from the players, for him they were normal people. Maybe he was already thinking 'one day I'll get to those levels' even though he's a simple & calm boy.”

doesnt sound like he really idolizes footballers. I like that mentality. Those are colleagues.

id probably keep both over Rovella tbh, although I would prefer all three. just not sure we can dump the other jabronis to make enough room. Miretti and Fagioli can legitimately play at least three different positions in the midfield. Rovella meanwhile is strictly a regista imo. Only thing he has over the other two is serie A experience, which unfortunately seems to rule all.

Miretti, fagioli and rovella should all play here next season as rotations with locatelli and one of Zakaria or mckenny...

Then buy 3 wingers and fullbacks...

Much better than wasting money on sms, Jorginho, Cristante etc.
I think there is no way we do that.

1. Locatelli
2. Zakaria
3. McKennie
4. One of Rabiot/Arthur, dont think we sell both
5. Some "name" player, Sergej, Pogba, Jorginho etc
6. One of Rovella/Fagioli

Miretti loaned out. Id like to add Frattesi there but i think we only get him if we manage to sell both Arthur and Rabiot, and/or fail to get a big name

We should secure an option on Fratessi for the summer of 2023. By then, we should have rid ourselves of the repulsive french abomination, the sideways passing merchant pseudo footballer, and the perenially sidelined golf amateur.

2023 midfield: McNuggets, SMS, Miretti, Zakaria, Rovella/Fagioli, Fratessi

All of those crying for conservation of identity and Italianization of the squad will have their wish granted: 3/6 of the mids would be Italian.

Say no to fagjinho

Solid midfield with lots of young legs, creativity, hunger, energy and tenacity.

What about GK, defense and attack? I won't be satisfied until I see atleast 6 starters who are pure bred Italian

Donnaruma, Gatti, Bellanova, Udogie, Fagioli or Miretti and Zaniolo starting :donedeal:  :b81:
Fill out the rest

Dinarruma
Bellanova ____ ____ Udogie
Frattesi Miretti Fagioli
Zaniolo ____ Chiesa
Probably De Ligt, Vlahovic and no idea about the other CB. We have been linked with a number of left footed ones, none Italian though. I think we will get one like that

P.S. I don't think we will get Sergej in the end sadly, but add him too if you like

Sell for 25m with buyback option for 30m. So in 3 years/4 years time we will buy them back for around 30m if they proven to be great
Do the same thing for Fagioli and Rovella with another club. There will be another club that want to do this with us (especially if we guaranteed to activate the buyback). It means they will get a pretty good players on loan for free on 3-4 years, pretty low salary and their money will be back with some interest

Then we will have 75m to buy Frenkie De Jong/Valverde/Barella/Tielemans now and after 3/4 years of services (they are around will be 27-29 years old) we sell him for 100m+, this money is going to use to buy back Fagiola, Rovella and Miretti

❌ Fabio #Miretti was not included in Mister Zauli's list of called up players for the #ProVercelli game.

The crazy thing is if you combine our midfield youngsters you’d actually have a well functioning midfield (at their respective level, obviously).

Miretti should be comfortable playing box to box
Rovella as DM
Fagioli as playmaker and he has shown to be able of doing that in a more defensive or attacking role.
Ranocchia is more like Loca, could play DM, could play box to box. More defensive than attacking tho

You could fit any type of midfielder between those guys. Obviously at this point is way to light for Serie A and CL football, but let’s hope that we’ll see some version of it after a few years.

Yet I remain afraid that we’ll somehow find a few to screw this up.

No need to be afraid, if they're good enough they'll be here for a long time. However its highly unlikely that we suddenly have 4 young players coming through that are CL caliber players for years to come. I'd be ecstatic if one of them becomes a player of that level.

The odds are very slim indeed. I’m quite convinced about Fagioli and Miretti. They should reach a level that they’d at least be part of this team in the future. Rovella was underwhelming in most games that I’ve seen, I’m a bit following the general Tuz opinion here. I’ve seen enough of Ranocchia before to confirm that he’s a genuine talent, but didn’t see anything of him this year. Focused more on Fagioli or some U19/U23 games.
