Some people are really limited.

I would like to know how many of you really think there's a chance of Capello coming back?

I would love capello back

Juventus with capello = Scudetto
Juventus without capello = usual 2nd, 3rd or 4th spot at least 10 pts behind the scum.
Juventus with Capello: Zambrotta, Thuram, Vieira, Emerson, Nedved, Ibrahimovic, Mutu and of course Trezeguet, Cannavaro and Camoranesi at their best forms. That was probably the best squad we have ever had.

Juventus with Ranieri: Shall I really need to go on?

There are many things we need to consider before drawing any hasty conclusion. Of course the league was much more competitive back then and of course it was much more difficult to win the Scudetto at that time, but we did it easily under Capello. He is a great coach, denying that is absurd. His Real team was inferior to Barca but he managed to win La Liga with them and he's been doing a great job with English NT so far. I still have my doubts about him. He was incapable of preparing a team doing moderately well in Europe.

I respect Capello as a coach and I'm never to deny his genius but I think calling him back is taking a step backwards.

This is lots of Bullshit with an shitting bull on top. Close this.
If he or Lippi comes back then it's over with my support for this club.
You said the same about Moggi, which is understandable. What is wrong with bringing Lippi or Capello back?

Did you do the same when Lippi was brought back the first time?

Don't think there is a chance he will be back, and I don't think there are many who think we have at least a decent chance on bringing Cappelo. Cappelo is just a wish, thats all :)

Are we living in the past?
To bring any of the old guys back now is just a huge step backwards. We making clowns out of ourselves. If we want to carry on failing in Europe and don't want to improve and die together with Italian football then fine, bring them back.

It's the most stupid thing we can do.

Actually the stupidest thing is to hire an inexpreienced coach to lead a team in construction

And that's why we hired Ranieri. He was a good choice for the beginning and we also took the right decision to part company with him after two seasons. We made the first mistake by letting Ciro results (as an interim coach after Ranieri) fool us. After Ranieri we needed to bring a top quality coach.

<10% chance.

Living in the past? The recent past when we actually won trophies and competed? Look how Capello has turned England from no-hopers into contenders, he would be a marked improvement on what we have. Whether you would prefer someone like Prandelli or Allegri is another matter, but I know who the safer bet is.

We are not that lucky! Capello getting back is a dream for this club ATM!
You can hate him as much as you want, but The Don knows how to do his thing!. Our board should kiss his ass if he does join us..

I hated his boring 4-4-2 long balls play, but back then he had to play that way, we had no playmakers. I believe he is the perfect coach to get us back on track and might just be the man who can get the best out of Diego.

He also needs to be a manager for us, im thinking the english way, he should have the players he wants, not the players Secco thinks is good for this club!..

Anyway, we can dream!

If its gonna be an Italian then i sure hope it is Capello or Prandelli.. If not then anything but an Italian coach!

But you have to take things with a bit more perspective. Just because these guys represent the past doesn't mean that they have backwards thinking and did not evolve with football. Both are intelligent enough to handle transition because they dealt with it already and did it successfully because they know how to manage the fundamentals of managing a big club. Our failings are not only tactics or recruitment its also about those fundamentals.

Why did Guus manage fine over the years even though he started coaching in the 80s? Same concept applies to those.

I know where are you getting to. We want something new and fresh and that is why many of us were happy about bringing in Ciro and Deschamps before him. Ideal world they would have worked out, but they sadly reality is far from it.

And we need to win in Italy before we win in Europe.

As I mentioned before we needed something fresh and that was the line of thinking when we hired Ciro. Young coach to breathe some life and soul into this club again. Shame the management and support structure did not consider the other factors involved and wasn't realistic about the expectations.

We need someone to get those players to play with conviction again, and slowly the type of modern football. Choices are many but first we need to get proper football people in the management.

Imagine, we are in a serious state of chaos and you guys wouldn't want one of the world's best coaches who would surely bring some sort of structure and stability to Juve.

Because it's fucking frustrating to keep reverting back to what we had in the past. If Capello doesn't want to come back then lets hire Lippi again, and if he doesn't want to come back lets get Trap, and if he doesn't want the job for the third time lets bring back Ranieri...

Tired of this shit.

I'm tired of mediocrity and our decline into a provincial club. It's hardly a desperate measure to set us back on the right track. If there are alternatives, I'd be up for it. But as long as we're getting the Ranieri's, Ferrara's and Zaccheroni's of Calcio, Capello sounds like a grand idea.

I was with you until you mentioned Ranieri. I just want a winner, don't care who it is.
