I'm tired of mediocrity and our decline into a provincial club. It's hardly a desperate measure to set us back on the right track. If there are alternatives, I'd be up for it. But as long as we're getting the Ranieri's, Ferrara's and Zaccheroni's of Calcio, Capello sounds like a grand idea.
Capello and Lippi is mediocrity.

Bring on the long balls, boring footie & benching Delpie!:weee:

Never going to happen, would be excellent though. Capello knows exactly what a team needs and doesn't need. He'd certainly be able to plug quite a few holes.

How do you come to that conclusion?

And before you mention CL underperforming, we're a long way from even considering being CL contenders. we are hardly making top 4 in Serie A. There's no denying that Capello is one of the best, if not THE best you can get if you want to be competitive in Serie A. I don't think there is a logical reason to not want Capello at a time like this.

We should have a poll of this for the fun of it.

Not sure why some say he deserted a sinking ship. I look at calciopoli now as a speed bump. Where we are now is really the "sinking ship". We need a stern captain to call the shots. God speed for our board if capello accepts the challenge.

As moggi said, I doubt he would come with our current board. I hope Lapo Agnelli's balls drop soon and mans up to what he needs to do in order to get this club back on its feet.

Yeah. Call me a fake fan, I don't really care. I want my team to win again and that is my bottom line. Business is business.

I left a job onces because I had a better opportunity elsewhere, months later that job called me back and I took an offer they made because I had an offer I couldn't turn down. Money is money and business is business, no one ever said it was pretty or a fairytale.

If this club wants to win again we need a coach that is fearless and commands respect. One with a proven track record. 442? Fuck it, if we win games with long balls (which I hate) then at the end of the day if this club brings the 3 pts then that's what matters most, right?

I'm so fucking tired of our present, we need a coach to come for our future. If members are opposed of him because of formation, the past sinking ship theories, 442, long balls, boring games and all that matters more than winning then I will question those members to the extent of my love for this club.

Wordity word.

P.S. it won't happen, of course. EVen if just because of DP's influence at the club.

Calciopoli was a chance. A chance to make a new start, bring Italian football back to live, bring the next generation, make it bright again. So lets go backwards to old farts weeeeeeee.

A new start... nice people with nice smiles... the new Juve... Ranieri, Ciro, Zaccheroni... 3rd place, 4th place, 5th place... :inter: inter as champions for the next 13 years until they pass out Juve and get 3 stars. Sounds great.

as opposed to the great total football we is playing now?
Yeah lets compare this squad to the squad he had at his disposal back then coupled with our pathetic BOD & horrendous medical staff.Capello will surely bring the magic.

I can't believe what short memories some ppl have,i can't get over the fact how we sucked under his tenure & yet some are behaving like babies, throwing their toys out of the cot.

The big question is,are you prepared to be content with the scudetto & never have a shot at the CL?

Right now we have neither. We are nowhere close. We are at risk of going under to teams like Napoli and Fiorentina. Capello doesn't have to be here forever. A Scudetto would be nice, even if that's expecting too much. Is he not one of the best coaches in the world? He can get us on the right path. Hiddink is gone. We don't have much options. I would be happy with Benitez, Prandelli, Gasperini, Pellegrini, but a lot of people here wouldn't even accept those. Who they want, God alone knows. They have a problem with everyone.
