Mexes+ Cannavaro+ Thuram+Zambrotta
I dont think there would be a better backline in the world
If I were to set up a defence with those defenders, I'd probably put Mexes in the center and Thuram as RB

... and on the bench you could have Ferrari and Trabelsi
That would be a horrible, horrible waste

although that is actually my favourite tactic, we dont have the resource to do it.. we have bought an defender in zebina and we need at least one more which i dun ever know will happen or not.. even then we still short i think ,.. maybe after nxt season we can do it i hope...

that was just a factual statement tellling Eaglesnake that Fabio Cappelo have indeed used 3 back before , infact quite succesfully. It doest suggesnt at all that i think we have the power to do it now on a year long basis..
Oh, my mistake :embarass: I thought u were addressing my post above Eagle's. I'd prefer if we had the resources to play with a 3-man defence too, but I don't think we'll see that as long as we have this current crop of defenders.

cannavaro is considered in italy one of the best defenders in the world, capelo wants him bad and he is not a fool.
inter wants a big player for him, we cannot afort to give thuram or zampro, its better to give iouliano+ferrara not montero he is good enough for our bench even if we bye nesta too, we cannot efort to loose thuram the best in his position, we need good experianced defense now not after some years, if we take champions league now we will have the money to bye good defenders next year

hmmm, I agree too, Thuram is a year older too, isn't he... And Cannavaro is Italian, that's important factor for Moggi, Giraudo and Bettega for sure...

btw, sad that Trabelsi isn't free, now I'm sure that we're not going to get him... :(

well, I would welcome a force Buffon - Thuram - Cannavaro at Juve, so I hope we won't offer Thuram, and get Cannavaro straight without any player included!

that would be great too, but unlikely to happen, Inter want Thuram or Zambro, so we really don't have options if we're going to get him... I wouldn't mind at all if we gave Blasi or Sculli for Cannavaro, maybe even Iuliano... :D

Cannavaro may last longer,( thuram is from the same immortal -quality material as desailly), i want them both.
if we sell thuram we make a new problem on the rb we need sollutions not new problems on the defence

Cannavaro isnt a bad buy at all if we were to get him, i mean he is the captain of the National Team, and as someone said before i think he still has more life left in hin then Thuram

was about to say that... don't know much more than his belife that he could
join for free to any team he liked to has been false! If anyone is intrested they have to buy him. He has appealed but been denied!

hmm. Canna vor Thuram? I don't know, i like Thuram very much and in 2002-03) he was the best in his position, he had only a bad year! I hope we can keep him and make another Solution and get maybe Canna!

but for me he is not essential, same goes for Vieri, i think maybe should go for younger material!

Capello wants Cannavaro

Juventus and Inter are not just talking about Christian Vieri, as a Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro swap is being discussed.

New Juve boss Fabio Capello is keen on Cannavaro (pictured) and negotiations are believed to have commenced.

The tactician already wanted the Italian international at Roma in the past but the stopper joined Inter from Parma instead.

The Nerazzurri are willing to release the Azzurri captain if they get Thuram in exchange for the 31-year-old.

Thuram has said in the past that he would like to see out his deal in Turin but he could be tempted by a San Siro switch.

Especially after a turbulent campaign last season in which he admitted he was perhaps in the worst form of his life.

In other Juve transfer news, there could be a new development in their bid to net Emerson.

Roma don’t want to sell the Brazilian to their rivals but the player insists that he will only sign for the Old Lady.

Juventus could now offer cash and the services of Manuele Blasi in an effort to reach a capital agreement.

The Giallorossi may accept given the fact that Blasi worked under new boss Cesare Prandelli at Parma last term.

At least some good news this Monday. Things are slowly moving.

And yes, give Blasi to Prandelli (on loan)
