Capello wants Cannavaro
Juventus and Inter are not just talking about Christian Vieri, as a Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro swap is being discussed.
New Juve boss Fabio Capello is keen on Cannavaro (pictured) and negotiations are believed to have commenced.
The tactician already wanted the Italian international at Roma in the past but the stopper joined Inter from Parma instead.
The Nerazzurri are willing to release the Azzurri captain if they get Thuram in exchange for the 31-year-old.
Thuram has said in the past that he would like to see out his deal in Turin but he could be tempted by a San Siro switch.
Especially after a turbulent campaign last season in which he admitted he was perhaps in the worst form of his life.
In other Juve transfer news, there could be a new development in their bid to net Emerson.
Roma don’t want to sell the Brazilian to their rivals but the player insists that he will only sign for the Old Lady.
Juventus could now offer cash and the services of Manuele Blasi in an effort to reach a capital agreement.
The Giallorossi may accept given the fact that Blasi worked under new boss Cesare Prandelli at Parma last term.
