He was so good in 2006 it's scary. Beast of a defender that anyone has to admire him. Never felt the same about him after that World Cup though.

Epic Legend

he's no traitor, he went to madrid to help juve make some money by selling him and help juve's financial problem from being relegated

Fabio Quagliarella: “Fabio Cannavaro is the captain of all captains!”

Absolutely fantastic CB. His partnership with Nesta for La Nazionale and with Thuram for us were epic. I'll never forget his beastly performances at WC 2006 especially the match against Germany. Sensational.

Thanks for the memories, Fabio.

I've tried to hate him, I really did... but I've failed miserably everytime. Will forever be my favorite defender ever. Hope he works for us.

PS everyone knows that the absolute peak of his career was during those 2 seasons under Capello, at Juve.

Best defender I have personally seen, what a champion player he was....It is a shame what happened after calciopoli...He did always thank Juve when he won that Ballon d'or. A true legend of a player.

Cannavaro: 'Napoli can win Scudetto'

Fabio Cannavaro has urged Napoli to enjoy the Champions League, but “they can win the Scudetto if they focus on that.”

The hometown hero who retired this summer is still keeping a close eye on the Partenopei and his younger brother Paolo.

“I think this season the Serie A title is more within their reach with the squad at their disposal,” Cannavaro told RMC.

“Europe is always more difficult, even if Napoli are doing very well. They got off to a strong start, playing great games against Manchester City and Villarreal.

“However, I think they can win the Scudetto if they focus on that.”
