No, there's no key about it at all. Do you understand what you just said?

Do not come here and tell me Canna is better than the other players around him. It's insane.
Tactically he is better.

When he is in a tactical system and league that suits him more (exposes him less), he will still be able to perform at a reasonable level.

Well with the crap Juve have on the left and right, will he really be exposed less? If Juve upgrade the rb then having Cannavaro makes sense. If not, I don't see how the situation is different.

I agree.

I will be pissed off if Juve sign a free CB instead of a really good one and don't improve other parts of the defence.

Don't accept it then.

Time will tell who is right anyway.
I don't accept it because Spanish teams also play with DM's whose job is to cover the defense. To an extent, that is what Diarra does as well.

Of course if you put five Sissoko's in front of Cannavaro he won't be exposed as much, but when you put a player in front of Cannavaro he'll still have to deal with the play himself.

That's why I call it nonsense, because it is. You have to JUDGE a defender by what he does WITHOUT help around him.

Yes.

Cannavaro, as bad as he looks at times at Real, will do better than our CBs, other than Chiellini, do in our system.
Just because we have better security in midfield?

That's not a point, really. Any defender would do better in our system.

Sorry, not buying, Andrew.

My point is not that any defender would do better in our system.

My point is that he will do better in our system than Legro or Mellberg do in our system and, therefore, he may be worth signing as a short term improvement to our defence.

His form, compared to Legro's form in Serie A, hasn't been any better.

Sure, he could be better than Legro, but we're wasting salary and time on a position we need to improve for the long run.

Even irrespective of how he does, we need to find a long-term player for this position.
