who would u pick out of Santacroce, Bochetti, Zapata and Kjaer?
A hard choice.. but because of Santacroce and Zapata can play as a RB if needed I would pick one of them.

Zebina gets injured to often.. and Grygera is not so good IMO.. So a Player lika Santa or Zapata would be nice to have..

Bochetti is also good.. My choice is Zapata because I have always been a fan of him.. even if some thinks he is bad

I'd rather have Santacroce.

Zapata is overrated. He has some good (not great) games, but he has just as many disastrous games where he just gets torn apart.

Bochetti < Chiellini. Same position.

Kjaer < Ariaudo. Same age.

Wait, how do you know ariaudo is better than kjaer? How many times have you seen ariaudo play to conclude he is better than kjaer?

Zapata is getting injured a lot and that is really bad for a young player who gets injured so often. He is also overrated in my opinion. I would rather pick Bocchetti or Santacroce. Honestly i havent seen so much of Bocchetti but the few times i´ve seen him play he has been really good. Santacroces defensive play is beatiful to see, reminds me of Nesta. Sometimes he is too aggressive but he can work on that and he have many years to do that.

Haha I was gonna say the same thing marcello....I enjoyed watching nesta when he was in his prime, a very elegant defender. Too bad he is always hurt

I wouldn't fancy Chiellini and Santacroce playing together just yet.

They are both still too rash and both need a calm, organising figure beside them.

@red: are you hinting cannavaro is the ideal partner for chiellini? :snoops:

:p
In theory he almost is.

Time will tell if they really gel, though.

Ideally a partner for Chiellini would also be a good footballer, so I would consider someone like Rafa Marquez to be Chiellini's ideal partner.

I agree in the sense that chiellini is rough around the edges in terms of elegant play. He just simply gets the job done, its not necessarily like watching symphony. He needs a "conductor" :D

How was that comparison?

Chiellini is great but I think he needs a player with pace to be his defensive partner because if there is one think Chiellini lacks it is pace. Santacroce would go great with him because he is a RCB with good timing in the tackle and pace, while Chiellini is a LCB who is physically dominant and great in the air.
