    Ok do you want to tell me Martin that for a noob like me, installing, configuring and trying to get something like xgl work is not useful? learning-wise??

    I never said it wasn't useful for you. I was just saying it's probably not incredibly useful for most people, despite being a loud subject the past year.

    XGL/Compiz is for suckers who want to make linux purdy.. it isn't the swishy effects that make it purdy, it's the simplicity and efficiency :toast:

    how'd you get that 3d effect on the cube? i have xgl/compiz installed but my cube doesn't work like that or i don't know how to use it like that. :D
