Finally I was able to install compiz/xgl on my Ubuntu box. It looks just fucking amazing guys! I still think there are other things that should be done to make it look cooler, but I just love the Cube and the Wobbly stuff, plus the transperency it offers.


Oh and I gave you a sneak preview of a certain WV terrorist, for those who didn't have the privelage

Different things are good for different purposes. Guis are good for desktop applications, the command shell is useful for scripting, and xgl is useful for..? Yes, exactly.

Seriously it is just curiosity that got me to check it out to be honest, it is far from perfect, but I can see it as a part of the future of Linux GUI's. It also gave a sense of achievment since I am a noob.

I would dual boot or use seperate computers. I would recommend a pentium 3 or more...
