Grosso is world class?
Yes. He is a World Cup winner after all, right?

That was the original point i was trying to make yesterday.
Not exactly. You pulled Del Piero into the situation when he hasn't done anything of the sort. Grosso is a known cheater that is praised by Azzurri fans for his "service".

And again, yesterday was about Henry, not anything else.

But i already told you i agree with you about Henry. He cheated and the Irish were robbed, i cannot overstate it any more than that.

I used DP as a hypothetical situation, asking if people would call him a cheat if he had done the same thing. Naturally and as expected people just tiptoed past the question.

Because it's a bullshit question. It's like comparing what would happen if Lippi suicide bombed a cafe in Tel Aviv -- we don't think Lippi would do that.

Stick to what HAS happened, not BS hypothetical situations that may or not even occur.

True. I thought it was a good example to use for my argument :p

You could say, then Lippi would be a radical extremist.

My question was if DP did it, would you label him a cheater. Its not BS, its a hypothetical question to see if you apply the same measures to everybody, or if your jumping on Henry's back just because you don't like him.

Its not a penalty but he didn't cheat. The Australian guy blocked the way for him. Henry on the other hand was playing basketball.
Materrazzi shouldn't have been sent off, we would have killed them with 11 men.

and I don't think Hiddenk should have the cheek to complain about grosso, after what his south korean team did in 2002

I don't like Henry BECAUSE of what he does, not because of some other stuff. Not because he plays for Barca, not because he played for Dial, not because he's French, not because he makes great commercials with that douche Tiger Woods, not because he's black, et cetera. It's stuff like this incident that makes me dislike him, his lack of class.

But again, with comments like those it really does make you look like you're defending Henry, even though you say you're not. EVERYONE should be pissed at Henry because he defrauded a nation from going to the biggest event in this universe.

If Del Piero did the same FUCKING thing, I'd be pissed, too. Now get off our nuts about this crap and live in the real world, Fred.

Valid question. DP would probably have done the same thing, but hey thats just me speculating.

Love it when fans make their favorite players to be honest angels that won't hurt a fly.

But the thing is that it was Henry and not Del Piero , thank goodness.

Listen, my 2 fav teams in the last 10 years has been Italy for obvious reasons and France for Zidane mainly and then Trez etc....

But let me tell you something, if i was Irish i woould be so pissed off about what happened.

I dont care about how this kind of things has been managed in the past, but we are talking about a french side which has struggled the whole tournament and now classifies with a blatant handball. They deserve to go thru more than ireland taking in consideration all this BS?.

Its true, Henry is not the ref and im pretty sure 90% of players would have done the same, but that is totally out of context.

I vote for the game to be played again because is pretty unfair, even when is an referee mistake in the same way penalties are awarded or negated, or offside positions are not called. But really this is just too much.

If maradona and company have done the same in the past, well whats done is done but from now on things shoudl change , to punish this kind of behaviour and to teach the so called pros how to play fair, specially in this kind of games.

Of course I would. And Donovan isn't even one of my favorite players.

If you compare Henry to Del Piero, you're a moron.

I like you, Fred. But you can't compare DP to Henry who doesn't only dive and cheat, but also fucks your club in the ass.

Glad he did so, though. Yet you still support the pimp like a good hoe.

Congratulations on your progression through to the World Cup finals. Your countrymen must be proud.

I don't like henry but I dont think he could help what happened, it was pure instinct and not premeditated, however it is still extremely wrong. It's sad because hundreds of thousands of kids will think it's ok to cheat to win a game and then arrogantly celebrate it, that's what has annoyed me the most.
But I guess that's the French sterotype for you.

Henry shouldn't be singled out for this, lots of players dive, he should get a reasonable ban and fine like any other player. He should take responsibility come out and apologize to the Irish players. The Irish were cheated out of a place in the WC and have a right to be angry but demands to replay the match are just naive, it won't ever happen.

Oh and on Grosso's pk against Australia, the defender did make contact with him instead of the ball which may according to the rules be a pk but Grosso made a meal out of it and the clutching the hair in pain act was pathetic. I wanted Italy to win in that game, but the manner in which they did was ugly
