Dortmund were too eliminated from the EL groups and, for example, they're doing much better than one Bayern or Schalke (17 pts more than Bayern and 24 points more than Schalke in Bundesliga), who made it to the CL knock-outs.
That we're way too far from the best is not even questionable, but he has a point that we never seemed to give our best in the EL. Beating Salzburg in round 4 was gonna keep us into the game and yet we fielded like 5 primavera players and replaced some of our best players at 0:0, to put primavera guys in their place.
We would probably play those 5 Primavera players in a crucial CL game, because the EL is the same as the CL.

Just as Samp care about the EL tonight.

But we started with Krasic, Pepe, Marchisio, et cetera.

Dortmund was in an arguably tougher group, plus they won some matches. We won none.

Nope, we were poor, for the reasons I gave. That's not the best Juventus, in personnel or performance. Quagliarella too, don't be selective, he's absolutely key.

That's exactly it, the competition is worse. You get it?
Yeah, he's the key why we couldn't beat Lech.

Give me a fucking break.

Guess some need excuses to keep hope alive.

No excuses, our real team is doing just fine, I know how much that pains you

But we drew a (pointless) game, so as you were, let it all out.
"Real team"? Is that something like Juve material? As if your boy Pepe isn't part of the real team?

You get an anal cannon award for that one. :analcanon:

Granted EL is a shite, but I'm sure we would all be cheering our hearts out if we won it - unbelievable that the only points Salzburg were able to gain were the draws with us.

I guess so. That's basically what it comes down to. I'd like to see someone offer that as an argument as to we can't beat Lech Poznan.

Six draws is certainly telling of a side that does care, yet wasn't good enough. If we didn't care we would have lost a couple matches at least.
I know THIS team cares... i know krasic cares, i know del neri cares, i know agnelli cared about the europa league matches...heck all of us cared.... but you know is just a little worrying that we coundt get a single win...even when we fiught in some matches and we never felt that ¨ok fuck this..¨ feeling the players had last season....

But well still i wanted to see something more in this sub par competition. We have demonstrated in the league that we are above average, we are no longer the punching bags from last season....we need to live up to our standards now.

I'm probably going to get mocked for this but fuck it, I seriously couldn't care less about the EL cup. Italy losing spots to Germany, and you want Juve savint Italy from all those Italian teams in EL and CL that fuck it up week in, week out. You want Juve to save the spots for Italian football? A team that just came from one of its worst seasons has other priorities than playing in Europe League. The money EL gives isn't even that much, so I could be shallow with this statement, but I can see the EL doing more harm than good for us. Top 4 finish should be the aim, Coppa would be nice too but competing in Europe was never part of Juve's agenda this season.

EL success would have been nice, especially disappointing if we went out at a later stage, but not at the expense of Serie A. We simply have to get into the CL this season and the league is wide open. We'll see if it has any affect on Napoli. I'm guessing they will go out next round anyway.

I'm guessing the same too. But EL doesn't have the prestige CL has and EL doesn't have the money CL has. You're absolutly right to say this league is wide open, we might be second today, we can be sixth if we hit a bad spell in the coming weeks. CL is the aim. EL wouldn't even boost up our squad mentally, not when (besides Quag, Bonucci and Pepe) your used to play CL for the majority of your career.
