congrats on winning the biggest European chokers title from Benfica :sergio:

I guess we're even more cursed than them

someone said the truest thing: this team is all muscle, zero brain. And the muscle isn't even that big.
harsh reality but true

i dont necessarily want 'flair and fancy'..(okay at least a couple :D) but i want players that are quick and creative minded...will make our passing better smoother quicker more incisive...and team play will b pulled to a higher level

the world wouldnt fall down if licht is not our rwb or rb...and asa needs to be given consideration for a cm spot and a quality LB brought in asamoah makes no sense down that left side..I applaud all his shifts in that position but there is an opportunity cost to playing him their at the expense of playing him in his more effective position and proper contribution from a left sided winger/wingback...

ppl say immobile wouldnt get chances with our front two but they, esp llorente, are lets face it unreliable sometimes which is the normal ebb and flow for all players during the season...immobile would get his fair share of games and i think he deserves his chance at this club...has that nice strikers instinct..

some of you complain that we dont have quality or skillfull players, but look at benfica what players do they have? Their quality is much less than ours. I understand that their advance to the final was mostly because of luck, but at least with those players they managed to stop us from putting noticeable pressure whole game. So, I think its not because of players quality, but because of the way we play offensively and overall tactics. Our playing style is enough for almost identical playing style Serie A teams, But not for diversity of Europe. As soon as we play a team which offers something different from whatever we used to in Serie A we are doomed.

and one more thing regarding the referee. I am really surprised why he added only 6 minutes when the match was resumed when it was already 93rd minute. I understand that 3 minutes cant be the reason for our failure but still..

Another thing that surprises me is that Conte, not only in yesterday's game but lot of times, chooses Osvaldo over Vucinic,Quag, Giovinco and when we saw him being completely useless in those matches and who is at most the same as Boriello.
And also those high crosses when Llorente is already out and you have Tevez and Giovinco in attack.

Massively disappointed but not gutted, despite what Conte says we didn't deserve to go through, we just didn't do enough over the two legs. That's why I'm not gutted.

I said this months ago and ill reiterate the point, even if we had won the EL, this team has hit the glass ceiling in Europe. We played 6 CL games and 8 EL games and how many games did we play well in? The two Madrid matches and Fiorentina away and that's about it.

The only positive thing from last night is that hopefully this run to the SF has made Conte aware of what we need for next season and him and Beppe sit down and buy the players we need to do better in Europe.

People on twitter blaming Conte is ridiculous, he's doing the best he can with the tools he has been given, it's not like he has 100m euros burning a hole in his pocket and he's refusing to spend it.

From the 60th minute on we never looked capable of scoring and I had zero confidence that we would actually get the goal. At one point I was hoping Conte would tell Maradona to throw on his boots and give us a boost.

The league we play in is also killing us in Europe, we are so far ahead of everyone else, when we actually get a competitive game in the CL/EL, we don't know what to do at times. The likes of Copenhagen/Gala and Lyon gave us better games than everyone in Serie A this season (Napoli away excluded). We need someone to step up and give us some decent games next season. A very good Roma and Napoli would be very good for us.

We move the ball very slowly, have little flair/creativity and we just try to bully teams into submission, it's very reminiscent of Capello's Juve (with lesser players it must be said). Last night felt like the 2nd leg vs Liverpool in 2004-05, when we only needed one goal in Turin to go through but we failed and went out.

No one let the team down, although I did think Llorente was our worst player, but we simply just aren't good enough.

Disappointing night.
Good Roma and NApoli next year will means that even the scudetto is not our for sure. That's the only sure thing about these teams being strong.

Guys, calm down. I'm as disappointed as any of you, but lets not overdo it. Knocked out by Bayern who went on to knock of barca 7-0 and win the trophy, that pitch in Istanbul and outplaying benfica for 180 mins where we were unlucky with our attempts and benfica were lucky. It is not like it was pathetic display and we were humiliated (Chelsea+Bayern), we fought till the very end and we didnt get that lucky break. Such is football so stop finding things to blame and appreciate the overall picture, I rather be where we are today than Milan with their 7 UCL. We're on course to achieving best ever season in the league's(weak or not) history and winning out 3rd straight title which hasnt happen from the time any of us here were born. So lets not over-analyze and relax people. I'm sure we're gonna do better next year. Fino alla Fine.

I suggest some of you to stay away from this place for a day :D. Conte has spoilt you all rotten with what he's achieved and you guys lash out at him every chance you get.
Yeah, also as a healing to this disgrace we face a MIGHTY team called ATALANTA at Monday. They have 4-Messi's,5-Ronaldo's and 1 -Bale.So with a tiny win over them everything about last night will be erased and we will be happy again plus is that so important shit league record.Wow.

And another thing.I am not buying that non spending money for players as a reason for our kicking out.Benfica does not have any more expensive players that ourselves .In fact our players cost more than Benfica's.Atletico MAdrid players surely don't cost more than our players even if we do comparing player by player. So this shit is no way a excuse.
Also ,Conte is just right about one thing about the match.Yes we were more than toothless yesterday, but the referee game in the 93 minute announcing of 6 min.extra so we have only 3 minutes and that fucks were laying all over the pitch.I repeat it is not a excuse because if we deliver 3 they could lay as long as they wish, but just a remark.

One thing is for sure... every single member of this forum should get extremely drunk before next monday :p
Let's put this behind us and focus on getting the scudetto :touched: complaining won't do much and remember that the team and the coach learned a fuckload from this season... we played 14 matches in europe and got pretty far.. Moneywise we would rather won against galatasaray and lose the next 2 matches (Chelsea?) But IMO this team needed this more.. We've learned a lot more from it this way..

Hopefully this summer we are either buying WC wingers or buying players so we can switch formations... Next season we'll hopefully get furter in the Champions League and higher in the coefficiency-points list

just noticed we have exactly the same amount of coefficiency points as last year :touched: next year we are getting more than that!

Maybe you are right. But I am so pissed off, not because of our kicking off but because of our toothless game that I don't think being drunk will help me a lot.Now Conte will turn all the attention about record points, third scudetto etc. bullshit.

I agree... but when it comes to us, we'll never be fully satisfied untill we win the CL final with 3-0... thats because we want to be the very best... but to become that you need to grow.. you can't buy it and you can't just become it overnight...

This season wasn't perfect... but wasn't shit either... remember when we thought fiorentina would kick our asses? we got even further than that, but in the end nobody was satisfied...

p.s. if the final wasn't in our stadium, nobody would give a shit about the EL

Remember what all portoguese fans said ? that they play real football, entertaining and offensive, the reality was totally different, they were pure garbage except Luisao wich was MoM, falling down like dead leafs and stealing time from the first half. Fuck them all, Juventus will be stronger in CL after summer mercato

Speak for yourself. I actually cared if we win the EL because we have not fucking win anything in Europe for 18 years. The EL in our stadium was clearly an extra motivation for everyone in the team. I didn't manage to see when we win in 1996. I just hope i will be able to see us win something in Europe one day. If we can only manage the EL and not CL so be it.

I vow to never get pumped for any Juve cup game. Ends in heart break every time.
I still carry the wounds form 1997 CL final, 99 semi final and then 2003 at Old Traford when even Lippi look at the sky wondering.. wtf ... I come to terms with it, with this kind of a small curse.
