Its almost like he already had a script ready on how the incident affected his players, had they lost.

As some said UCL is a competition only for big clubs so EL is a minor competition and it's as good as it can gets

It's the same thing about how teams used to perceive the Copas from their countries years ago and it changes for everyone after Farca's treble. Maybe in the future something it would change but for now noone really care this competition
