Well yeah its unlikely that he is sincere but the general mood in the city is gloomy and he resonated that even if on the inside he is probably thinking "YUSSSS". Had he celebrated like crazy (the way he would have celebrated if no attack happened) then everyone would have slaughtered him for lack of sensitivity.
I dont think he would have celebrated like crazy, especially with the fans and media going on about it. It comes to show he has some emotional awareness. It worked in his favor because the incident took a lot of pressure from him as media and fans concentrated on something bigger. Its almost like he already had a script ready on how the incident affected his players, had they lost.

He only celebrates like mad when he's got pressure and feels the media or others are against him.

St Ettiene, Rostov, Anderlecht and Celta Vigo and then a final against a glorified youth team in Ajax... poverty teams all the way through.

In 13/14 we played Trabzonspor, Fiorentina, Lyon and Benfica (and would have been a final against Sevilla) this was a much harder run and I don't think this United team would have won it either.
This cup was awful. I bet Lyon would have won it btw, they just fucked up inexplicably in the first leg against Ajax.

Just the name Europa League sounds so stupid. If they were gonna change the UEFA Cup name it should have been something better. Like the Continental Cup or something. Idk.

There were a lot more stronger teams, from all around Europe, back then. Today, you have "experts" telling us how smaller teams have developed and got the chance to win against everyone. I call bs. There was a lot more teams challenging the big sides 15-20 ago.
Who says that? I've only heard the opposite, rightfully so of course.

Mourinho 1 year ago or little bit more says winning Europa League is a failure itself.

    I just wonder now :D

As some said UCL is a competition only for big clubs so EL is a minor competition and it's as good as it can gets

It's the same thing about how teams used to perceive the Copas from their countries years ago and it changes for everyone after Farca's treble. Maybe in the future something it would change but for now noone really care this competition
