Depends on if Hazard and KDB are healthy. If they beat Italy but those two don’t recover, I don’t think they’ll be able to go through the remainder of the tourney without them.
Don’t know if it’s true or not, but I’ve heard both will miss the game against Italy, but would be available in time for the semi-final if they reach it.

If they get past this Italy without 2/3 of their best players, they will be hard to stop imo.

yeah. I suppose you’re right. Talk about a confidence boost. And if KDB and Hazard return on top of that. No one stopping them.

Here’s hoping Italy doesn’t choke against a team missing arguably their 2 best players

Lukaku vs Bonucci tho :scared:

Bonucci's quietly had a good tournament. Lukaku's been great himself though.

They thought it was over.
Are you telling me they thought it was over from the first minute of the game?
And again when they were 1-0 down?
And then again when they were in the lead?

It would make sense for them to think it's over at 3-1, but that doesn't explain the rest of the game to me. Extremely odd game to watch, but the best team won.

Unbelievable how much space France gave away.
Even more unbelievable how they kept doing it over & over again. I really don't get it.
Varane and Kimpembe just aren't that good. The difference was a fit Umtiti. If you look at their 2018 squad, they also had Matuidi. Not as technically gifted as their other players, but someone who is very determined to do what it takes.

The mistake Deschamps made was still trying to play the same lousy negative football with Benzema and Rabiot on the pitch (fielding Rabiot is always a mistake btw). If you're going to play with these players, you have to attack consistently and go for 4-5 goals instead of leaning back. If he'd done that yesterday, they would have comfortably put Switzerland aside.

Loved that Sommer thought they would somehow allow Mbappé to retake the penalty. As if he did something wrong by eliminating France.

That crossed my mind as well. They sure could have used a player like him yesterday.

This France team already has a world cup so it is not shocking if they get a free pass for fucking up this tournament.
Expectations game works the other way around.
Also 0 goals for the highest rated talent in the world is underwhelming no matter how you look at it.

this is not about expectations, this is about earned credit.
Mbappe is a World Cup winner for the French, Morata is a nobody to the Spaniards, of course he will get shit on more.
