They could have been one of the best teams ever, but Deschamps ruined them.

He built them and I don't see them hugely different from 4 years ago.

They lack something, probably another quality mid and better wing backs. For me when you compare them to the teams I mentioned they lack the togetherness and balanced squad. Those teams had real strength in just about every area. In terms of quality, balance, philosophy and spirit the French 98, Brazil 2002 and Spain 2012 teams were way ahead.

Brazil and Italy ‘94 too. Both would have crushed this France.

I had France as top favorites, followed by Italy and then England (unfortunately). Sure England and Germany have been playing like shit, but you can't count out that talent so easily imo.
