Italian is basically ran by Juve DNA.
Looking at how Juve has always performed with large balls in European finals, I will say Italy will win the final by three goals or more.
Goals by insigne, bernadeschi, and bonucci.
These players have never let their nation or clubs down in finals. Absolute clutch.

They are probably the best squad currently. Or at least the most complete one.

I never watch the Premier League myself, so most of my knowledge about them is based on what I read or hear from others, but some of their players who are considered as a "joke" have been pretty impressive.
Take a guy like Maguire. Of course his transfer price was inflated, of course he's not the most technically gifted player out there, etc. But what brilliant a defender!

They all agreed De Ligt was a perfect example of a player/defender not being worth what we paid for him. I thought that was an interesting take.

That take is much more suited to Maguirre than De Ligt. De Ligt is a generational talent and has the world in front of him. Even tho his start at Juve hasnt been perfect, you can see the potential for greatness .

Maguirre on the other hand is a sturdy but very limited defender and extremely over priced also. I dont know how they have the audacity to call De Ligt over priced when compared to maguire

He is a class guy. And this Spain team, IMO, wasn't that good. But it has youth and will get better.

But I cannot forgive the guy for the complete Guardiola-level brain fart it took to start a semifinal with Morata, Moreno, and Llorente -- arguably three of Spain's best attacking players -- sitting on the bench. That was madness.

De Ligt is money well spent in my opinion at least, and i would think that most Juve supporters would agree on that (at least thats my assumption).

de Ligt is young, already among the best in his position and we'll almost definitely recoup all of that investment and then some. you could discuss his wages though.

Maguire is at an age were its certain that most of what ManUtd paid for him won't be recouped even if they sell him.

De Ligt is overpriced as shit. Only Juve fans can't accept that fact and say BS as "generational talent" etc.
A "generational talent" who has not had an exceptional game on international stage for his club or country for two years and was the main culprit for Netherlands to leave Euro 2020.

Yes, with Chiellini, Bonucci, Jorginho, Di Lorenzo, and Donnarumma you have a great core to defend, but after 3 years of attacking football I feared they would be caught off guard. Mancini impressed yet again setting the team to counter attack successfully, the players missed sharpness in some passes and moves but otherwise were great.

It's true that winning a lot consistently, and how you win them, can lock you in and create an unfamiliar environment when things don't go that way. And Mancini has done a great job of changing the Italian style to continue to attack with the lead instead of the always-lame cries of "catenaccio" by pundits as if it's still 1962 Inter on the pitch with a sweeper.

But Enrique completely blinked then... had to abandon the gameplan and the core players that got him there. (Talk of Morata's abductor aside, he at least could have just as easily started to be subbed off early.) In that sense, Italy partly won this match before a ball was even kicked.

As I mentioned in the Morata thread, when Italy tifosi were freaking out about "getting killed" on the pitch -- and yes they once had zero attempts at goal vs Spain's 6 (with 1 on target) -- I felt there was no teeth in what Spain was throwing at them.

His tournament is just over, but we cant let this kid's presence go unnoticed, what a player! Just a kid and plays in a game against a tough opponent like Italy, in an Euro semifinal, as if he was a veteran.


What a supreme player already at 18 (and we saw as Juve fans what he did at 17 in his CL debute vs us). Just quitely and consistently going about his way in ridicolous quality level at such a tender age, not even Iniesta or Xavi were this consistent at this age. Uncanny sense and quality to take the right decisions, open up opponents and play with subdued fearlessness that examplifies the consistent quality talent he has been so far in his young first top level season career.


Will be exciting to see this talent develop further. It wouldnt suprise me in a decade or two , that this kid turns out to be THE midfielder of his generation.
