Italian players man read the message
Over half the forum here are Azzurri fans for their entire adulthood, me included. Closely tied to Juve so hard not to.

You just needs to ease up and realize when people say not too many players in Azzurri are good enough for Juve, it means latest generation of Italian players dont have much genuine top of their positions world class individuals. Tho younger players are getting there.

I understand what you are saying it’s just funny to me that the majority of those players on that list were Italian and ps those were the same that said spina wasn’t good enough for juve

To be honest, I don’t think people expected Spina to become so effective when he left. Myself included. He was an ok player that I didn’t lose sleep over the sale of. Maybe Fonseca is the one who actually took him to the next level.

When you look at his form now, selling him was the absolutely wrong decision but I doubt many predicted that. The same applies to tons of former players who had bad runs at Juve and were then sold and right so, only to become beasts elsewhere. Happys to every club.

He was good while he was healthy which was rare at Juventus. He even had an ACL surgery at the end of his stint in Turin. So yeah, it seemed he was pretty fucked back then and it was totally understandable for us to take Luca Pellegrini + 7.5 million in exchange.

Why they are asking the ref to check the video for an offside decision? The should just make it themselves. WTF. This reeks of corruption.
They only assist the ref with suggestions. The ref on the pitch still has the ultimate power.

I always like Spina, even long before he was called up for the Azzurri.

there was no offside ball bounced off the defender

We are talking about the offside call that Lukaku was offside the moment the ball just leaving his teammate's foot. The incident where the ball bounced off a Russian player is only afterwards and we're not talking about that.

ive never seen a ref make the call on an offside decision. Have you? It’s always the linesmen or VAR.
I generally agree with you but this case is kinda confusing ( VAR rules should be more clear) where it's leading to a goal. When it comes to goals, the ref makes final decision whether he would watch the replay or not and it seemed that he ignored VAR refs suggestion. Anyway, it wouldn't matter because Belgium is much better than Russia.

What's the complaint here?
If a defender wants to file for offside, he should stay away and the ref will call it. He went in there, fucked up and obviously offside rule isn't meant as insurance for fucking up.

Wasn't just a minimal deflection either, defender's failure was 'Homer setting cornflakes on fire' tier
It's in the rule book, doesn't mean that I don't think it's ridiculous.

But the thing is, I don't think that's true.

If you look at the 3 man midfield Italy fielded 2 days ago, each & every one of those players is better than what we have at Juve. I was never a big fan of Jorginho, for example, but he would basically walk straight into our lineup. Without breaking a sweat. Spinazzola would be an obvious asset as well. If you were to add players who would be useful squad players, you could probably mention an additional 4 or 5 players.

Saying Italian players aren't good enough for Juve would be appropriate if we actually had better players to begin with. But we don't, imo.

This Italy team would beat this Juve, with ease.
