It also has to do with the way we are brought up here, so you just know certain things would piss you off immensely if you had to live there on a daily basis.
As someone that has lived in Germany (Dortmund) for nearly three years, there is absolutely and without question no country that comes close to in comparison in any way. As you say it's just the way things are set up, from the precise and efficient architecture of cities and streets to individual behaviours and mentality I think it's mostly habit the Germans have kept from the old days, humanity and discipline and actually caring about thier work and responsibilities.
Even the street drunk and hoodlums would leave beer bottles neatly in the corner.
For all the Bullshit I heard about racism, I experienced zero injustice, absolutely wonderful folk and this is 20 years ago when it was supposedly bad.
Last year I went back to Berlin and even though there was more outsiders I'm happy to say the German way lives on and I hope it will live on for a long time.

Both yes and no.

Personally as a Northern European do I admire much about Italy and enjoy their cuisine a lot.

But when it comes to how things work, punctuality, living standards and politics/corruption is Northern Europe much more desirable than Italy/Southern Europe.

It also has to do with the way we are brought up here, so you just know certain things would piss you off immensely if you had to live there on a daily basis.

They still have a long way to go in these parts. But it doesn't mean I don't like the country and most of it's people. Italy is a great country.
Seinfield said on Comedians in Cars smth like: "It runs on a certian level of charm. Italy is the only beauty on Earth that doesn't fade".

Italy is probably the most loved country in the world.
I won't necessarily disagree with you there. Hey, Italien is my second language. :D

But there are exceptions. Like I know some Portuguese who think Italians are exaggerations of the worst qualities of fellow Portuguese. (Same with the Spaniards too, actually.) Things like being loud, being overly emotive, being mama's boys, etc.

Of course, you could argue that Portuguese are a heavily subdued -- and subservient -- people. 50+ years of a historically recent dictatorship will do that to you. But they do know how to slowly resist.

Meh, the Portuguese and Spaniards ARE Italians if you think about it :D

The Italians like/respect/admire the Germans for their resilience, mentality and economy
Maybe 30 years ago, now everybody just deservedly hates Germans thanks to the patronizing Merkel and EU leviathan. Travel to the North other than Südtirol, being exposed to French culture a lot they will at best tolerate you, travel to South/Sicily and they will first tell you about how the North steals everything from them, then based on your reaction love you or hate you. Everytime I had a football smalltalk with some local in Northern Italy they act completely pissed that I root for JJ to begin with and indirectly tell me to fuck off and root for Bayern lmao. Very xenophobic (I love it)

what a bad. i plan on immigrate to Europea and work there. As an olive with more yellow in me, probably will be faced with racial issues.
Change your name, put on some white facial cream, work on your accent, and every now and again join the racists. You'll fit in fine.

their countries will be takeover by us in future and expel the Europeans before they contaminate them with their soft left ideologies.

I dont think theres any room for debate that de Bruyne is among the very top mids in Europe. A lot of people would even say hes nr1. And he did have good euros, of course Belgium didnt get very far, but they went out to champions.
