Xavi: 'Spain deserved victory'

Does this guy ever admit that the opponents deserved a good result? It's always him who claims these things.
Xavi is an idiot. I don't understand why so many people like him. He has no idea of what the world entails outside of La Masia anyway. Terrible player from a terrible club.

just saw on tv that reporters are saying Mandzukic tuched the leg of the irish defender as he made the wrong pass leading to 2-1. if true he should be banned for the rest of the tourney i my mind. hate cheats and unfair players like him

You're just talking jibberish. Even if he did do it, that wouldn't make him a cheat.

Giaccherini and Maggio will play an important role against Croatia. I'm pretty sure that on this match Croatia will play a lot from the flanks and send lots of crosses for the tall forwards. Srna had an off day today, but his crosses are usually very accurate. Imo Prandelli should use someone more defensive than Giaccherini to cover Srna.

Giaccherini is Italy's weakest link anyway. I'd be surprised if he starts next game. Italy should all out attack. Balotelli, Cassano, Di Natale and Giovinco.. I don't think Croatia will be able to keep them from scoring. If they start with a defensive mindset, they're bound to screw up.

How on earth do you remember the exact situation?
Showed it on replays several times.

He also said it's a shame Torres didn't finish our chances off. :D
'Mourinho won't go down in football history,' said Xavi. 'For me Guardiola is the best and he has been during the four years he's been in charge at Barca, because he's revolutionised football.'

'Barca continue to be the reference point for football the world over. Barca has also been an example, Madrid not so much. They’ve only recognised that we were better when we won.'

Mou watched the game allegedly to support Real players :howler:

Who do you think would like a draw more on Croatia-Italy?

Normally it should be a better result for Italy because then all they will need is to beat Ireland and wait for Spain to easily beat Croatia. Then again, if Italy-Croatia play 0:0 or 1:1, if Spain and Croatia play a 2:2 in the last round, Italy will be out :D
I still think the draw will favor Italy, though. Spain will beat Croatia.

That's the most stupid way to sort teams and increases the chances of game fixing.

I think Croatia. It would feel like defeat for Italy and as you say, there's always the possibility of such a dramatic outcome in Spain-Croatia. Furthermore Italy would still have to beat Ireland. In this group Italy shouldn't have to depend on the results of others. I reckon that, with this positive result against Spain, they are going to want to win against Croatia. If they don't, their tournament is as good as over.
